Is the noise it makes musical and annoying?

The noise the boat makes is both musical and annoying.  I'm a role playing gamer and every few months I build a miniature city in my garage with my nephew that's been overrun with miniature zombies.  My friends then have to battle their way across the tabletop to safety.  I ordered this toy cruise ship as I was collecting toy boats in order to build a naval dockyard for our next game.  The ship was smaller than expected but it still makes a good prop in the game.  Unfortunately, it's really load when you turn it on.  I decided to use that as an element in the next game.  When the players get too close to it I will turn it on so I can claim the noise being made by survivors on the boat are attracting the next zombie horde that will then come after my players.  I'm also using the little plastic wheel that came with it, to disengage the spinning mechanism on the bottom, so it doesn't spin around and knock over everything else on the board.  I'm guessing this was originally designed as a "grandparent" toy, where the grandparents buy it for the kids to take home, to pay back their kids for all the trouble they gave them over the years.  My parents used to sell a lot of things like this in their old toy store in Estes Park.  Usually, the parents would then tell the kids the toy was broken once the batteries then ran down.  :)

no lights no music very dissapointed. All info in chinese. Can it be replaced?

We had the same experience and then I checked to make sure the batteries were in correctly. One of the batteries was put in the wrong way. We got noise but no lights and it didn't have enough power to drive itself. When I flipped the battery around (in the proper position) it worked great! So try that first, before you return it.

Does the work?

Yes it worked great. It is quite loud.  It rolls on the floor, spins and lights flash. It is NOT to be put in the water however.
