The photo they show is not the real size too big to put a violin

Perfect to keep your violin safe!

My 94 year old father wanted to find a way to store his violin without having to take off the chin rest. This was ideal and it's also esthetically pleasing. He's very happy with it!

More like a Guitar hanger

Looks like the seller has no clue what (s)he is selling. It wasted my time.Pros* Good for guitars* Good design. It automatically locks with the weight of the violin when hanging. Unlocks the same way.Cons* It works for violin but no place to hang the bow. I had to mount another screw for the bow on the wall. - Extra hole* Too much gap between the violin and the wall* Huge drywall anchor where the screw is too thin. I had to visit Home Depot to find the right match* Good design but unpolished wall mount.
