This raincoat is near perfection for our big boys & girls! Murphy is 180, he's alot of dog. This coat has plenty of room. The material is thicker & the coat is all around better made than the older model that this one replaced. The older one had a hood, so glad this one does not, as Murphy did not like it at all. I do love the neck coverage this one gives, as well as the length. The hook & loop closures are well attached & plenty long. Highly recommend!!

I purchased an XL for my 125 Great Pyrenees and it fits just right. It's long enough to cover neck to just over his tail and wide enough to cover side to side. The velcro in front attaches around his chest with plenty of room for adjustment and has a collar that can be rolled back or can cover the back of his head. Another velcro strap wraps under him side to side but doesn't get in the way of walking or other needs. Easy on - easy off. It has a covered opening on the upper back to attach a leash to a harness. It's lightweight (great for a furry dog) and waterproof. No more wet dog!

I wrote a long detailed review and it got deleted soooo here's the highlights 9 y.o. Male American akita 130lbs 33 in neck to base of tail and 30 in around chest (hes stockyyy) Super easy to put on, kept him 85% dry (just his tail and paws/up to mid legs got wet) Harness fit on to with no issues, there's a special hole for the leash, and BOY DO I LOVE THIS COAT Don't buy the other ones if your dog is above 90lbs it will not fit nor keep him dry, GET THIS ONE, spend the extra 15 bucks. Trust me. Best dog purchase i made on Amazon. Me and the pup won't dread the rain anymore and thats worth 35 dollars and more! Ps : super easy to put on and off, not like the usual circus it is when you have to put legs through holes and stuff. This is literally like swaddling a baby. Dog doesn't seem to mind and he minds EVERYTHING lol He even wanted to keep on walking when usually he drags me home as soon as he peed, he hates the rain! I wish I got this coat a long long long time ago! KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A RAINCOAT, NOT A COAT. Its not made for warmth but to keep your baby DRY! That said you should have NO PROBLEM putting it on top of a sweater or suit like a shed defender and like you can see in my pics and video, even throw a harness on top of it all. 10000% recommend! GET IT!

UPDATE (11/3/21): issue: if there is any wind, there is no way to secure the back end of the coat to the dog. I think you can sew elastic loops for the back legs but you will need to reinforce where you sew as the material is very thin. I have a great pyrenees. I was looking for a lightweight raincoat since my dog doesn't get cold. This coat is thin plastic material, comes folded up in a little pouch. I had it in my pocket while jogging my dog and it's so light I hardly noticed the weight. Mine is not huge for a pyr. The coat fits him well with room and stays in place . The velcro in the front and the strap that goes under his chest are fastened to the tightest possible position for him. The hood is too long so it has to be folded back for him to see. I use a 2" wide martingale collar and the collar fits through the opening. The coat is long enough to cover his back well. His tail curls up over the end of the coat. I am happy with this product. His measurements are: Neck: 22" Chest: 34" Back (from neck to base of tail): 28" Wt: 90 lbs Ht: 28"

Finally found a rain jacket to fit my big boy. Been hard to find good quality gear for his size without paying a pretty penny. This is great quality for a very reasonable price. Seems to be comfortable for him. Fits his length perfect. Really like the half hood that stays in place and covers enough of his head without cutting off his peripheral vision. I like that it folds back into its pouch. Although I wish the loop on the pouch was a solid fabric ring and not a clip, it would make it easier to hang on something if it wasn’t a clip loop. Also wish there were more colors. Overall great product, thanks for thinking of the big babies!

I was so happy to find these rain coats recommended by other Saint Bernard owners. We’ve tried to find a lightweight rain jacket that was high quality and large enough for both of our saints. These fit absolutely perfect! I love that they have Velcro adjustments so you can really get the coat snug. Both of my babies love their jackets and we are very happy with our purchase! Not having a soaking wet dog is even better! I do wish they had some type of detachable hood as saints are more prone for ear infections when it’s super wet (we experience a lot of rain here in Mass). For reference, Zoe is our three year old female weighing 155 pounds and Enzo is our one year old male weighing 115 pounds.

I didn’t leave 5 star review for waterproof as I’ve not yet had the opportunity to test its abilities in full rain just sprinkles. As for everything else, sizing and product are great. Lightweight and easy to use from the little baggy it comes in. I believe the quality is good for the price considering their are other just plastic options that don’t look to last whereas this is trimmed finish and gives room to move depending on the size of your dog with Velcro. My dog is on the smaller side of giant breeds at 95lb (Ovcharka / Pyrenees) but this covers her appropriately and as she grows will fit her (she’s only 1.6 years old) 10/10 recommend. I’ll let you know how it goes as the rain gets heavier in Sacramento.

First off, I have a French Mastiff, 105 pounds Pros: Well-constructed, adjustable Cons: While the length is adjustable, it still ends up being too long for my Mastiff and it keeps sliding off him when he walks. Because there is a velcro strap on the chest the coat of course stays on, but it's just annoying that it slips and I have had to adjust it to the center so that he does not step on it. The head part is also adjustable. When folded it's too small for my pup's head, when I leave it unfolded it's too large. Keeps him dry though. I've had a hard time finding a coat that really fits my pup well, so for now I'm sticking with this until I find a better alternative.

I've tried a few raincoats for my hound, and even the XL sizes never fitted correctly. Standing at 68KG she is quite a big girl. I had this in my Amazon List for sometime & the cost was the only thing putting me off... After a hellish day of bad weather (having to drag her out for a walk) I bit the bullet and ordered the coat. The raincoat is excellent, great quality & perfect fit. If you have a huge hound this is well worth the cost.

It is a little bit expensive, but I love it

150 lb malamute Great Pyrenees with a very large chest. We have a super expensive “adventure jacket” for him but this one is the absolute go-to for daily walks in the rain. We live in Squamish BC, so it rains 7 months a year. Huge Hounds keeps Balto from stinking like a filthy donkey. Thanks!
