I bought the 1” to save a couple of bucks and am sorry I did. I wear these on bike rides and love the way the 2”band absorbs and diverts sweat away from my eyes and sun glasses. The one inch band just doesn’t do the trick. Once I start sweating profusely the sweat simply goes over the damn making this 1” band all but useless. I've always worn a "cap" under my helmet to soak up the sweat but it eventually becomes saturated and allows sweat into my eyes blinding me. I have to stop a number of times and wring out the cap or constantly mop at my eyes and face with a handkerchief that I keep in my pant leg. Recently I had the thought that it would be great if I could wear something like a "gutter" that would trap the sweat and shunt if off to the sides. I went on Amazon and was happy to see that a product like this existed.At first I thought this product was working for me but eventually some of the hotter/humid days overwhelmed it. I'm not exactly sure how the sweat is getting by. Could be soaking through the fabric that the rubber strip is mounted on.
