WORKS SO GOOD
There were pro's and cons to all of the products in this combo pack, but overall I have to say that I love this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo was unfortunately the most drying of any purple shampoo I've ever used (and I've used many), but in contrast, the conditioner was by far the most hydrating, so they definitely balanced each other out. After using the shampoo (which I actually applied to dry hair for more color depositing), and then followed by using the conditioner in the shower, my hair was soft, smelled great, and the tone was absolutely brilliant. Currently I'm embracing my gray, so my natural hair is growing in silver and the ends are still yellow/blonde. This turned all of my hair a silver color and reduced the transition line, and really brightened it up. I'm so impressed that I'll probably tell my colorist about this line, as she is always keen to learn about new purple shampoo products that she can tell others about and use herself. As far as the purple hair mask goes, I am really disappointed. I tried this about a week after using and loving the shampoo/conditioning combo, thinking that it would give it an extra boost of toning. It softened my hair ok, but the color was terrible, nothing like the other products. It definitely has more blue color in it, which can be seen before even applying the hair mask. After leaving it in for a few minutes and rinsing, I found that it had completely darkened my hair. Even my natural silver was muted and dull, all of the silvery brightness was gone. It made my hair not only look like dirty dishwater, but about 3 shades darker than before. I will never use the hair mask again, and I'm extremely disappointed in this particular product, especially after how well the original shampoo/conditioner worked and how much I loved it. Every product works differently on different hair types, but unfortunately I cannot recommend the conditioning hair mask due to the fact that the toning properties were drastically different than the other products, and made my hair look really dull and lifeless. This is really unfortunate, because all of these products should work together seamlessly, but they do not. However... as I said...the shampoo/conditioner combo is wonderful, and I will be telling everyone about it who is looking to transition to their natural grey or just trying to make their light blonde hair more pale/to remove the yellow tones. It brightens perfectly, and really creates/accentuates the silver highlights. These products are a bit pricy, but I honestly believe that they are well worth the cost because I know that I will not have to use them as often as other products I've tried. Other than the purple conditioning mask, I'm very very happy with this purchase.

Dull, Yellowing Grey Hair
I’ve been having problems with my grey hair lacking luster, dull and yellowing which drives me crazy. Have to admit I was skeptical, but after reading some of the reviews and about the product, I decided to give it a try. So far I’ve used it twice and I have to admit it works awesome! The yellowing is gone and my hair looks shiny and has beautiful silver undertones and not just white. I will continue to be a customer and recommend it for anyone else having the same issues.

Second purchase, still pleased with results! Amazing!
This is my second time purchasing this product -I came back because of how well it worked however, I am going through some medical issues and my hair has changed a lot. My hair is dyed blonde with heavy grey at my temples and greying through out (currently covered). I have a medium thick strand with some wave. I do struggle with dry ends as I live in a very dry state. I used it on dry hair and left it on for about 7-8 minutes. I have a comparison photo below and a video of the product to show how it comes. Next time, I think I will leave it on a smidge longer as the results look good but somewhat patchy. I am confident this is due to timing and how I applied. Overall, even with the somewhat uneven result, I am really happy with it. My hair smells good, feels soft, and the color is far better. I have heavy greying at my temples and am maybe 1/3 grey through out, though currently dyed, I know from previous use it will absolutely make that grey shine so be mindful of that's not what you are trying to highlight. The product appears to be a dark blue/purple and goes on thick. Do not be shy! Lather away. Absolutely use the gloves and wipe away anything on your skin or you will be a smurf. Also, word of warning, be very mindful of any porous, light colored tiling, grout, clothing, towels, or countertop material as it will stain. Pros: Easy to apply/quick result Beautiful, platinum hue (on my hair type) Smells good Vegan material Soft/conditioned feel on my hair type (medium thickness/slight wave) Cons: Will stain skin and surfaces without care Appears some mixed results due to length of time varience in application

Worked Better Than Expected — Especially for Brassy Tones
I honestly didn’t expect this to outperform my usual ColorCharm toner — but it actually did, at least in the beginning. I’m a natural blonde, and I’ve tried all the typical purple shampoos and toners out there, but blue toning products are what really work for my hair. This Bold Uniq purple hair mask lightened and neutralized the brassiness in my hair noticeably during the first few uses. Over time, I noticed it started to plateau — it didn’t keep lightening past a certain point, but that makes sense. It’s likely reached the level my hair can go without further lifting. Even though the lightening tapered off, I still use it every two weeks as a part of my maintenance routine. It keeps my hair looking fresh, cool-toned, and not overly processed. It also didn’t dry my hair out — which is huge — thanks to the added oils like coconut and marula in the formula. Another plus? It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and sulfate/paraben-free, which makes me feel better about using it regularly. If you’re blonde (natural or bleached) and struggling with stubborn brassy tones, this might be the toner that finally works for you. It won't keep lifting forever, but it does a solid job of tone correction and conditioning.

I won't buy any other mask!
This is review is for anyone with red tones, anyone else with a little brass, stop reading and just buy it. I decided to box bleach my hair after 19 years of dying my hair with darker red tones. I am a natural brunette. Against what my gut was telling me, I went for it. The results were better than anticipated but still looked a bit like a highlighter. I was looking for something to tone it down that was reasonably priced and would get here QUICK. I ordered this and arrived 2 days later. I couldn't wait to fix my hair. I opened the box and the insert immediately said it will not work on red tones. 😑 well..... it cant hurt either.... right? So I went for it. This was the best thing ever. The moisture was unbelievable, and it helped to tone down my red/orange. Now, it didnt make it disappear, as it stated its not for reds, but it helped ALOT! The repair benefits were amazing. A few weeks later I used permanent toner to get the shade I was looking for and tried other purple products to maintain color. Well... Im back and never leaving again. Skip the purple shampoo and conditioner, forget the other masks. When I tell you I have been through 3 other masks and 2 different brand shampoo and conditioner and nothing compared to the results of Bold Uniq. I use all of my old products and just added this to my routine every 2 washes (I wash every 3 days). I will not try another product.

Results depend on YOUR individual hair
Like many of you, I saw all the reviews for this and hoped it would kick the brass in my lightened hair. My second bleach + tone appointment in the last 3 months was 10 days ago, and was all a good color at first; buttery with platinum streaks and a root tap. I have a lot of very fine hair, naturally dark brown with warm undertones. Something happened since to make some of it go brassy weirdly fast, especially near the roots. My colorist suggested a purple mask to tide me over until our next session in 7-ish weeks, trying to focus most of the product on my roots. It seems like there are three options based on all the reviews (which I read a TON of): 1) it works amazingly 2) it works *too* well and turns hair lavender 3) it doesn’t make a difference Not much of a loss either way for me, so I went for it. The instructions say to wash hair with shampoo & towel dry, then put the mask on for either 3-5 min or 10-20 min depending on your hair & the results you want. I decided to leave it on longer, after reading other reviews. I don’t mind if my hair gets a little purple for a few days (the instructions kindly include de-purpling advice if you don’t want that, which is nice of them!). It ended up closer to 30 minutes because I got distracted, and therefore was CONVINCED there would be a huge difference & probably be somewhat purple. I was so surprised to see otherwise!! I let my hair air-dry; when it was wet it looked a little better/less brassy than normal, but once it fully dried, there was hardly any difference, not to mention it was a bit dry at the ends (so weird!). I’m going to try again and just leave it for an hour this time (will update my review after that), but if that doesn’t work either, I’m just going to return it. Possible bonus for those of you who are interested: you can make a DIY toning leave-in conditioner by mixing a fingertip’s worth of this stuff with a few squirts of leave-in conditioner, or regular conditioner + water (mixture in your hands should be pale purple). It softens and isn’t sticky, and is a decent last-ditch effort to make this stuff worthwhile for those it doesn’t work well for. All that being said, I do think it’s a good product. It’s not drying, it washes out easily, it doesn’t drip, it smells alright, and it is very pigmented. I think the reviews & results differ so drastically because of different user’s hair porousness/absorbency. Maybe it didn’t work well on me because my hair is a dimensional blond with darks, and it just isn’t strong enough without bleach to tone my stubborn yellows? Who knows. You won’t know how it works for you until you try it.

It does work, nice results
I tried two other purple hair masks which only worked so-so, before deciding to give bold uniq a try. It is a bit pricey for me, but it definitely worked -turning my yellows lighter and my reddish/brassiness to a soft golden buttery color. I left it on 25 minutes however. I'm growing my gray hair out and made the mistake of bleaching my formerly dark brown hair (I had my whole life) because I thought it would blend better. No, just accentuated my reddish base. Ash blond dye didn't help so I gave up and now letting it be but adding a purple mask every 10 days to soften the transition. Nice to see a product actually help! However I won't be buying from amzn anymore.
