Q: If upholstered correctly, could this be used as a chair base?

If you are going to use this material for upholstering a chair it will need a lining. Personally I do not think it is suitable. I used the material for lining and making costumes for the local carnival.

Q: Could this be used to cover a lampshade?

O it was really thin and cheap - I wouldn’t buy this again

Q: Can you order this as 8 metres continuous material? (Will this be suitable for Making curtains)

I used this as lining for making tote bag (linings) to sell for a charity. It is strong fabric and I am sure you would be able to buy 8m in a continuous roll, but it is quite shiny so am not sure if you would like this for curtain lining.
