Great for iPad to tv
Great piece of kit! Easy to use just plug and play! Bought for our cruise as we were aware the internet wasn’t going to be great. Used this to connect iPad to the tv for pre downloaded shows. Compatibility limitations
Cables like this are ok but please be aware that it does not work properly with Mac Studio thunderbolt/usb-c ports connected to HDMI ports on HP 2159m monitors. It results in the overscan effect (see the pic). However, it works just fine with Dell Latitude 5420 laptops (can't say about other Dell laps but should work as well).

Works on Chromebook
I have a cheap Asus Chromebook and needed to do presentation via a projector. Only having a usb type c port this saved the day. Just set your Chromebook to mirror display once the HDMI lead is plugged in and it works perfectly. Very pleased and recommend this cable. No problem with sound or video playback.

Garbage!!!!
Not often I take to writing a poor review, but just a heads up as I have nothing but issues with this cable. Bought way back in 2021 to be on the ball if I needed it onsite for a future job and had an issue then with either very poor quality imagery or refusing to connect. That was when I should have launched it back, but I just marked it up as me being thick and settings being incorrect (it should work perfectly out of the box). It languished in a drawer until I really needed it. Then I remembered all the issues. It does not connect sometimes, it's just hit and miss and when it does connect the quality is appalling, Tried serveral laptops (windows and macbooks) and several displays, the problem remains, but it's more on than off with a Macbook. I guess the learning curve is throw crap back when you can if it doesn't work. Total waste of money and the only satisfaction was the joy of cutting the piece of crap up with snips. Hoe it helps soebody else, if nothing else remember throw crap back right away when it doesn't work!

Quality and Value
Using it on an M2 MacBook Air to ouput to a 1080p 144hz monitor and no problems at all. Works flawlessly without any fiddling required. Very good for the price.
