Timex Men's Ironman Transit 40 mm Watch

UPDATE: The watch takes standard spring barred 20mm straps I changed the stick plastic strap for a beautiful natural Italian made, vanilla smelling Benito Cinturini dove strapnfrom Zulu diver here on amazon - and it’s a revelation - don’t want to take the watch off now - I chose a racing green type colour - pics attached - I do like a nice wristwatch, I have a few gems in my collection including a Bregeut, omega and grand seiko. I also have a Casio G shock I’ve always liked Timex too - I wear different watches for their aesthetic, look and function and when a certain watch is appropriate. I wanted a digital watch which was waterproof, looked good, easy to read time and date and good for work, workouts and outdoor use - something cheap but good - so if I lost it or it breaks I won’t cry. I decided to have a look at the Ironman series from Timex and I chose this because it looks good - isn’t huge like many G shocks and the negative display is something I’ve never had. The package arrived and I was disappointed by the packaging - not even a box - just some thin cardboard with the watch tied with plastic ties. In reality the watch looks as in the marketing photos but the display reveals greenish digits - which change under different lighting. It actually resembles a heart rate monitor - quite cool - is quite stealthy with the display and dark look. I like the grey case and the white chrono start stop button. The buckle is bead blasted satin and engraved The keeper and strap are also signed with the Timex and Ironman logos. I have a 7.5” wrist and it wears perfectly I liked it! The negative display is a bit dull - need to look at it directly to see the time - but luckily there’s the idiglo button at hand for all angles. It’s light, has a steel back, is comfortable and as mentioned before the size is excellent The screen has all id want and it is a very nice looking timepiece The chronofunction is very good and easy to use - setting the time and date is also very easy and the display makes it easy with simple instructions popping up when you press Set. The watch is ideal for swimming and snorkelling with the 100m water proofness. I also wore it in the sauna for 30 minutes and then left it in the hottest part of the sauna for another 30 minutes and it performed perfectly and didn’t overheat in any way. GRIPES The strap is comfortable but it’s resin which means plastic - a silicon strap would’ve been nicer to touch and wear - this strap is ok but I would pay another few quid for a silicon or rubber. These straps can be changed to other Timex ones such as the canvas wrap around (other models of this same watch have the canvas) one which may be better suited for general outdoor wear - the resin is better for swimming, workouts and water proofness. I doubt aftermarket straps with spring bars can be fitted - correct me if I’m wrong. This is a 5 star product because the combination of function, form, looks, price and enjoyment. If it were more expensive I’d knock a star off because the stiff plastic resin strap is Not as nice as the casio ones and i would prefer silicon or a softer resin. Overall an excellent workout, outdoors, swimming, running watch which looks good and is comfortable and enjoyable to wear

Probably the best watch I've had for being comfortable, the lights ok and it keeps the time. The strap is really good.

I've worn Timex Iron Man for the last twenty years and loved them. The last two have literally kept going until they fell apart after over five years of hard use. I'm trying this and am a bit torn. I love how it looks - sleek and simple, but it definitely feels a bit cheaper than the others. Annoying little things like a bit too much play in the buttons when you press them. It's a pity because the build quality lets down what could be a terrific watch.

I haven't had a velcro strap in ages, Very comfortable to wear. Easy to read.

I’ve been considering buying this watch for a couple of months now and finally took the plunge this week. It looks nice on the wrist and all the features are useful. I’m just dumbfounded that the crystal (glass) is made from soft acrylic rather than mineral. This means it scratches like crazy, I mean you could literally wipe it with your t-shirt and it’ll show scratches. Even a £9 Casio F91W doesn’t scratch as easily as this cheap rubbish.

Gift for my partner, he loves it. Looks great and easy to use.

Overall it's good but easily get scratches.

Ironman Transit è un ottimo orologio digitale multifunzione. Dispone di orologio, dual time, crono, timer, allarme. Economico nell'acquisto ma con parecchi pregi. Su tutti spicca la visibilità e leggibilità del display a caratteri grandi, e la comoda funzione di illuminazione notturna, che identifica molti orologi Timex. Il tutto in una cassa dalle dimensioni ottimali, leggera e dal design essenziale. Originale il cinturino in tessuto e chiusura velcro, che lo rende comodissimo sul polso. Il movimento a quarzo rispetta lo standard richiesto per questa categoria: ho verificato uno scarto di circa 3 secondi al mese sull'ora esatta. Completissimo per la parte crono (dispone di 10 lap memorizzabili), avrei gradito un maggior numero di sveglie (ha solo 1 allarme). La suoneria è sufficiente in ambienti silenziosi. Il modello è disponibile in altre versioni, con vari colori, e anche con display in negativo. Consigliato.

Die Ziffern sind besonders groß und gut lesbar. Die Funktionen sind-nach Lesen der Einstellungsmöglichkeiten-leicht wählbar. Insgesamt sehr "wertig" für den Preis.

Et oui la marque ne peut décevoir pour ce genre de montre simple, fonctionnelle et pratique avec une qualité irréprochable. Le bracelet en tissus avec scratch est très bien pour l'été car il est léger et il respire.

時間表示が大きくて液晶も見やすい。ベルトは強力なベルクロで外れる心配もなさそう。電波時計でもソーラー時計でもないけど気に入って使っている。
