This filter, which is a replacement for the WSP50 Whole House Water Filter screen insert is the exact one they use in the whole house filter as it comes from the factory. I needed to purchase a second filter because the sediment from my well is so heavy that I found I could go longer between servicing by replacing and cleaning the filter. So one is always working in the filter housing and one is always clean and ready for use. When I ran into a question, I called the iSpring phone number included on the amazon page and was delighted to speak immediately with a human being! His name is Nick, and he was so helpful in resolving my problem that I thought I would give a shout out to iSpring--especially to Nick--in this review. Cheers

I added this product ahead of my disposable filters in my well system. We have extremely muddy water. This product is nice in that it helps catch some of the sediment before it reaches my disposable expensive filters. The fact that the screen mesh is washable is a huge savings. I don't believe this is a stand alone product in extreme situations, but a cost effective way to help catch the big stuff before it gets to the 5 micron filters. I think a better explanation could be provided on the Amazon site to match the replaceable screens with the filter system. Nick as a customer service representative for iSpring was very helpful.

I love this thing, it saves my other filters from getting immediately clogged up from my towns high iron/manganese water supply. I use the finest mesh available, but the tradeoff is that it only seems to last about 4 weeks before I start to notice a slowdown in my water flow in the home. The backwash feature to flush the filter helps, but doesnt really do the trick for my water problems. However, I found that you can easily clean these in a ultrasonic cleaner, my wife has one for jewellery and it works like a charm. I run mine a couple of times with vinegar and it comes out like new.

This works perfectly but your strainer has to be an ISpring brand.

The filter seems durable, it lasts long, is easy to install and to clean if necessary. I-Spring also has a superb customer services, a real person answers the phone with no wait time, I worked with John to get some advice on the water treatment system and he has been very helpful. The company seems very decent and I'll buy from them again.

We had an issue with the filters splitting after a few months of use. I called ispring to tell them of the problem. I spoke with Michele, who resolved our issue by recommending a different size filter and sending replacement filters without hesitation. We are extremely satisfied with the service we received from Michele. She was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable. Michele is definitely an asset to the company.
