But it draws lots of power and gets really hot just because of poor regulation/design. I ended up with 2 of them because I thought the first was broken until I used a more powerful ESC to power it. Personally, I would recommend spending a little more and try another product. I just tried to power mine up and it will not power up and opening it up I see plastic melted around the U2 voltage regulator. **Q: I have servos that operate up to 8.4 volts. Can this unit handle 2S lipo as power source, or will it fail? If not, can you recommend another unit?** A: the spec states: Input voltage: DC 5~6V so, it will not work with 8.4 volts input voltage. That said, your servos will likely work at voltages lower than 8.4 volts, so you can probably use a 4.8v input to drive them. What I missed is (1) there is no internal battery and (2) it's synchronous so all the servers move identically.For (1) I wired a 1S battery and it works well.For (2), what is the point. I can just use one port to test each servo. I was expecting a unit that could control each individually with a selector, so you could simulate combining multiple servers doing different things.My fault for not reading. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed! *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2019* I purchased this servo tester because I needed one with a pulse width readout for testing various values for RC hardware. This one is nice! Its output is from 800 ms to 2200 ms. I measured the pulse width accuracy and it is spot on with minimum jitter (see pics): set 900 measured 899.9, set 1500 measured 1499, set 2001 measured 2002. So it appears to be accurate across the range to about ~1 us which is great. It also gives three period choices ("Pulse Width" button) of 20ms, 8ms, and 4ms which can be used for a variety of PWM applications. Like my old one, the "Select" button sets it to manual, center, or auto sweep. It has 4 outputs and comes in a nice, light-weight plastic case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars So good I ordered a second one. *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2020* Build quality is higher then expected at this price.Looking at the output on an oscilloscope the pulses are clean and the measurements are excellent. 1000 measured as 999ms. 1500 measured as 1499ms and 2000 measured as 1999 ms.
