Review: All of the most famous SP videos - This was a replacement because my ex-wife threw mine away, this is some of the most famous smashing pumpkins videos. Sound quality and video quality is very good and works perfectly on a high fi system
Review: Thank God for this colection - As a music video lover I can honestly say these videos are amazing. Siva: It was Ok Rhinoceros: Again more indie video, nothing amazing. Cherub Rock: The song is awesome, the video looks as if the High school A/V club filmed it. Today: The best siamese dream video, when I watch it, it reminds me of when I was in middle school, kidding around with friends. Disarm: Moving song, musically simple but lyrically (Which the Pumpkins are probably in the top 5 in Rock) they show more depth than garage band hype. Rocket: I like the band preformance better than the kids building the rocket ship, I could have lived without "Spanky and the little rascals buliding an interstellar vehicle!" Bullet with Butterfly wings: Dirty mud people, rock on!!! 1979: I love the video, I love the song but being born in 1979, I feel I'm a little biased. The anecdotes about the original version of the video were just hilarious. My favorite song from twilight to starlight, the whole double disk favorite is Muzzle. ZERO: Those actors sold it for me, they were in character and eerie. Tonight, Tonight: The song was POP ROCK (the acoustic reprise in the box set is awesome)The Video still a ground breaker. Thirty three: I love Thirty-three, visually they were stunning. Thirty three is simple in concept, the directors eye for scenery is stunning. I cannot use the word stunning enough, it was beautiful. I think of a very special person when I see that video. Ava Adore: The video ruled on so many levels. The set was well thought out. The costumes had style, the direction was dark (Dom&Nic directer NIN'S perfect drug)On tv they blocked the 70's porn meets ancient greece which really upset me. It wasn't that bad. Perfect: My favorite song off of adore, it was good to see most of the 1979 cast come back to be in the video. The Everlasting Gaze: The song is awesome, when I hear the song it carrys the name of the album (Machina: The machines of God), it makes me feel and imagine the engines of hell feeding the great machine, the dark rusting industrial vison of Corgan made this song. Stand inside your love: This video was voted as being one of the worst ever by MTV viewers, these are of course the same viewers who listen to Staind and Limp Bizkit, enough said. It was a hard video to watch, it is weird and that Oscar Wilde quote threw some people off for sure, they probaly said "That dude from Willy Wonka's deep man". Kids today have about as much depth as a barbie pool. Try, Try, Try: This video is crazy, I love it. The whole whoring for heroin while pregnant thing bugs me alot but it's honest, I've seen it and lived through things like that, maybe that's why it bugs me? The only thing about the video that is iritating is the view of the "american family" I am tired of seeing British, or european directors showing us "American life", is that what they really see us like? That was about as American as the Ming dynasty, We are not that bad, Europeans were the ones who started nasty things like the crusades, colonialism, and of course Ab-Fab. The live shows are ok, nothing to write home about. The documentry and even the format is by far better than most Collections today. Buy this DVD, MTV will not show anything worth while, you can stand Lil' Bow Wow and Creed for only so long, so why torture yourself buy this DVD.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A VHS review for the rest of us.

Not only have Smashing Pumpkins been a favorite band of mine for a long time, but their music videos always impress me and always (well, most of the time) seem to capture what the song is about. So naturally when I heard that they were releasing all of their videos onto DVD/VHS I was ecstatic. Seeing how I don't have a DVD player, I had to get the VHS version. Now if you are hesitant to buy the VHS version, don't be. For one thing, the whole video, beginning to end is over 2 hours and features all of their music videos (Aside from The End Is The Beginning Is The End, which I will point out, the DVD is missing as well) plus a ton of extra stuff that I imagine was on the DVD as well. Here is the tracklisting, straight from the back of the box: 1.Siva 2.Rhinoceros 3.Cherub Rock 4.Today 5.Geek USA (Live) 6.Disarm 7.Rocket 8.Bullet With Butterfly Wings 9.1979 10.Zero 11.Tonight, Tonight 12.Thirty Three 13.Ava Adore 14.Perfect 15.The Everlasting Gaze 16.Stand Inside Your Love 17.Try, Try, Try 18.An Ode To No One (Live at Final Metro Performance) 19.I Am One (Previously Unreleased) 20.Today (Outtakes With Commentary) 21.Rocket (Alternate Performance Cut) 22.Bullet With Butterfly Wings (Outtakes With Commentary) 23.1979 (Documentary With Commentary) 24.Tonight, Tonight (Documentary With Commentary) 25.Thirty-Three (Documentary With Commentary) 26.Ava Adore (Documentary With Commentary) 27.The Everlasting Gaze (Outtakes With Commentary) 28.Stand Inside Your Love (Outtakes With Commentary) Overall, I fail to see how any Pumpkins fan could be disappointed with this collection. Nearly all of their videos are astounding and they're all here (If I had to pick a favorite video, mine would be 1979.) So, if you're like me, and are too cheap to buy a DVD player, then the VHS version of this is excellent. Don't worry about them skimping on content, cuz believe me, there is plenty here to keep you busy.
