Exceptional Shower Upgrade
Went from a Delta dual-headed rainshower to this one after two years and wow I cannot believe the difference in water pressure and flow. The installation was simple with no leaks and the two-function options give more coverage or pressure and are exactly what you need to get clean.

So Far, LOVE This! SUPER easy installation. Great Shower.
When looking for a rainshower-type shower head, I did a lot of googling for reviews and chose one or two candidates. But before making the purchase I checked the brand of faucets we already have and saw it was Moen (not one of the ones I was originally considering), and I did a specific search for Moen rainshower shower heads and found this one. I figured the quality would be pretty good because Moen isn't cheapo, and the price was reasonable (and much less than many of the showers). So I decided to try it and if it's not that great at least I haven't risked hundreds of dollars. I also researched what sort of special connections and installation I might need. I wanted it to fit my standard shower pipe in the wall (not ceiling). Some rainshower shower heads said they require professional installation. I wasn't sure with this one because it didn't have special instructions or diagrams. Well it couldn't have been simpler. We literally unscrewed our old shower head (loosening it with a wrench of course) and screwed this one right on. Bingo! Instant shower head! And when we turned it on, no adjustments were needed, it provided a wide spray of beautiful rain. The dual setting allows a lighter-landing spray or a slightly stronger one. I liked that choice because in reviews of other rainshower shower heads, a lot of people complained the stream wasn't strong enough to wash shampoo out of hair. We have it set on the softer setting and since our water isn't soft, it washes out shampoo just fine and is plenty strong. I thought I was in heaven for that first shower. It provides such a nice cover of water that I don't even have to use the second shower head I had installed in the master shower (I used to always run two shower heads at once). I should save a lot of hot water by just using this one shower head. So I guess you can see I LOVE this so far. I've only had it a week so I don't know about longevity yet. But it appears very sturdy and well-made. FYI I was at Home Depot the day after I bought this online and looked to see if they had the same thing and how much it cost, but they don't carry this model, they have different Moen rain shower shower heads. I highly recommend. NEW ADDITION TO REVIEW: Since I first wrote this review, I bought the same showeheads for all of our bathrooms and everybody in the family loves them. I don't think they could be any easier to install. I'm very pleased... the only outstanding question I won't know for some time is how long they hold up. But quite frankly for this great of a shower at this price, if I had to screw on another one in a few years it would be worth it.

CR's highest rated - not a bad choice - read below for install tips
When my spouse requested we upgrade the showerhead from the perfectly good existing Niagara 1.5gpm low flow head that we've had since the home energy audit people gave it to us, I looked online at the reviews. That famous consumer reporting magazine we all know rated this Moen Velocity unit as the best they'd reviewed. I ordered it from Amazon and was very happy to get a refurb unit at an excellent price -- this is a very very expensive unit new. It's made in China regardless of cost, but at least is heavy duty stainless steel or similar metal throughout - not plasti-chrome. Once installed, this is a nice unit and the spouse and I are 4 out of 5 stars pleased with the pressure, functionality and overall use. it goes between a central core high pressure setting and a full nozzle lesser pressure "rain" setting. We have ours installed like a regular shower head, but you could also install it above you as a straight-down showerhead - it might be even better. If it were just me, I would have been equally as happy with the Niagara-type $5 low flow, as I think that unit produces a great shower, but this looks better and the spouse is happy... The Tip: The unit didn't come with a washer and has a strange wide area that doesn't easily take a washer. I thought this was just my refurb. unit, but it appears the new units don't ship with a washer either. If they did, it would be a strangely shaped thing, since the last couple MM of the unit's pipe are as wide as a a garden hose. Anyway, I visited plumbing stores and Moen retailers and Moen was even nice enough to send a (regular) washer - none of which fit or worked. If you use a regular head washer, it will move around and not seat correctly - and leak. If you use no washer without teflon tape or with just a turn or two of plumbers tape, it will leak. In the end it was my friend, a plumber, who suggested just wrapping the pipe you attach this head onto with ample (3 full turns or a bit more) of plumber's teflon white tape. I did that and it works well without leaking. So, you can run this thing with a lot of plumber's tape on the threads with no washer! I learned something..

Absolutely Amazing, Highly Recommended.
While on vacation in Costa Rica my hotel had an overhead shower. The model there was small, very little water pressure but still it was great. 2 months later, I installed one in my own bathroom but even better! For my project, I ordered 4 main items from Amazon: 1. *** Moen S6320 Velocity Two-Function 8-Inch Diameter Rainshower Showerhead, Chrome 2. Moen T4171 3-Function Transfer Valve Trim Kit without Valve 3. Moen 3372 M-PACT Three function 1/2-Inch CC Transfer Valve 4. Danze D481316PNV 6-Inch Ceiling Mount Shower Arm with Flange, Polished Nickel I drilled a 1 inch hole in the ceiling, mounted a 2X4 across rafters in the attic and lowered the chrome pipe through the ceiling and attached the showerhead. Ran pex pipe across the attic above through the wall to the valve below. Cut out the sheetrock to access the shower wall and installed the valve, and then the trim kit in the shower. I am no plumber but did my homework and found the job easy to do. In my search for a shower-head, my first thought was to go cheap. But in my research, decided to get an 8 or 9 inch model with control lever. I decided on this Moen model for brand, size, water adjustment and being Made in USA. The only downside, it was expensive but there are others for far more money, and others for half the price but Made in China and without the water control lever! Its been 4 days since I installed it and its amazing. The lever allows for a gentle rain or a forceful downward spray. I should mention the water pressure on my home is very light but excellent with Moen's superb design that adds some force to the water. I understand that the flow restricter can be removed but that was unnecessary for my needs and keeping the flow restricter saves water and adds shower time. I am a little surprised at how much I love having an overhead shower. Highly recommended.

Truly a rainfall shower head. BEautiful to look at and drenching.
Reviewing shower heads is tough because opinions are subjective and people really like different things. I feel comfortable giving this 5 stars though, because I bought it 6 months ago and never regretted it. Here's the scoop: This is a lovely showerhead in every respect, and provides good water flow rate, even without any modification. It is a rainfall style, so it is a full array of little jets that feel like a heavy rain, but it is NOT a high-powered spray. That's the matter of preference. I truly like both styles, but I think I prefer the rainfall style for daily use, as it's more relaxing and comfortable. It also provides enough water coverage to reasonable wet two people showering at once, a thing I care a lot about. If you are looking for a high powered jet, like many old hotels use, this is NOT the showerhead you want. But if you want a more spa-like drenching rain style, then THIS is a good option. I haven't had issues with jet clogging yet, though once a month or so I have to flick my finger across a silicone jet to "reset" it. This is typical of any small opening and hard water. I am using a cheap delta shower arm extender to bring the showerhead farther out into the shower so I can stand mostly under it. This is a great setup! I imagine that if you are not using an extension arm, the power might not be enough to launch far out into the shower area adequately. Again, that is just the type of shower head this is designed to be.

One of the best shower heads I have used
I ordered this Sunday evening and received it Monday. I immediately installed and used it for the first time this morning. Both my wife and I loved it. It is as good as any shower head I have experienced, including many 5 star hotels. To respond to some other reviews: Flow: After reading other reviews, I was concerned about the potential water flow. As a result, I took the black ring out before installing. It took a couple tries and a total of 5 minutes; I left the green ring in. Once installed, the flow was great. We only use the full flow position as the alternate position with increased pressure from just the center was not as enjoyable. Dripping: Our shower head is installed at an angle, not directly over head (I actually don't like the direct overhead install). After turning off the water, it drips for maybe a minute, probably less as I did not time it. It is not excessive nor intrusive. Price: all of our fixtures are chrome so we purchased the chrome version. It was $157. Yes, triple the price of the plastic imitations, but it is well made, not plastic, and is a great shower experience. How often do you have to change shower heads? Every 10 years? if that? Our previous shower head was plastic and after maybe 200 showers it started making loud noises. I don't expect that that to happen with this, but if it does, I'll update the review. dripping

Shower in the rain naked as God intended!
This is the best shower head I have ever been privileged to indulge myself with. I bought this and amazing isn't saying enough about it. It has two adjustable speeds and both are a different but, equally as pleasant slice of heaven. One mode gently trickles rain drops all over your body. The other mode is a little more forceful but is very massage like in its demeanor. I adore the way this shower head feels to my senses and every shower is exotic and romantic, even if itโs just me by myself. I can't help but climatically moan out in ecstasy like that lady in the herbal essence commercials every time I wash my body under this seducing drizzle-tastic machine of emotions. I cannot express in words how worth the money this is and oh, I forgot to mention because of my lucid fantasy day dream while describing this metal miracle that it is as durable and well-made as it is deliciously decorative. This has a lifetime warranty and is well worth the money. Did I mention the self-cleaning rubber nozzles? Oh, in deed it absolutely does feature these wonderful, zero maintenance gadgets. Also it is very easy to install. Just a few spins around the ol' water spout and in no time, you will be showering in bliss for years to come!

The best shower head.
The only shower head Iโll ever need. The thing is all metal. None of that plastic crap. Itโs solid and heavy. The water output is amazing. Definitely not water bill friendly but the shower experience is amazing. The finish is still perfect and itโs easy to clean.

Fantastic rain shower head
Love the two settings. I didn't mess with the pressure regulator -- so no, it doesn't generate ridiculously high amounts of pressure, but why should it? I'm not looking for an invigorating massage; I'm looking for enough pressure to be comfortable, soothing, and still effectively wash off dirt, grease, and grime. In fact, I tend to use the low-pressure Rain Shower setting almost exclusively and get clean just fine. After experiencing a rain shower head for the first time this summer while travelling, both the wife and I agreed we needed one for the home. We shopped around for weeks, poring through reviews and going to a few specialty stores to look at all sorts of models, including this one that we ultimately felt was the clear winner, especially in its price range. It was very easy to install, and while the shower head appears to be chrome-plated plastic, the actual hardware (threaded attachment, swivel socket, etc.) is all metal, and as a whole, the entire unit is quite sturdy. In a nutshell: looks great, shower feels great, and this head will likely last us until I grow old and die. I love it.

Super nice and even spray. Two pressure modes. Looks beautiful!
Bought this after the cheap one that previous owner of the house was using. What a huge difference. The flow is so much nicer and even across the entire head. Each nozzle putting out the same amount of water at same pressure. The simple to use lever removes the 3 outer rings and focuses pressure into the centre for a high pressure spray, which is very nice for getting a deep rinse through your hair, and it feels very good on the back. I've bought a Moen faucet a while ago and was equally impressed with that. So happy to see consistent quality throughout their products. 100% would recommend this. Splurge on it. You'll love it and it'll last - no doubt!

Very good rain shower
Works very well as a rain shower. The high pressure setting is a bit on the weak side. So

Love at first shower
If you are looking for a way to add a touch of luxury to an otherwise crappy apartment shower ... This is it. I ended up removing the flow restrictor by screwing a screw into the green plastic cap and pulling it out with plyers. I don't regret doing this. The water ( a lot of it) splays out nicely and with a soothing pressure. I rarely use the concentrated flow but from time to time is feels great on an aching back.
