Witch size fits 18-55mm Lens?

Hi , you will find the filter size for any lens.by looking at the front edge of the lens where it says who made it, it's focal length, and a two digit number followed by a circle with a line through it, this is the filter size.

My filter has a small scratch on it is there anything that can be done ?

I am not aware the scratch can be removed, it's one of the reasons i fit UV fliters to my camera lens as the cost of replacing the filter is much cheaper then the lens.

Can you fit other filters on top?

Yes you can - it has an internal thread on the inside of the front lip.

Can you fit the lens cap back on to the lens being thin?

I've got it on a Nikon 70-300 and yes, you can fit the lens cap on just the same with or without the filter.
