These ratings beat the Donaldson by a couple of percentage points. I trust Donaldson, and since this filter is as good or better, I decided to get it. I can't speak to the review that says Racor makes the OEM filter. Mine was labeled Motorcraft. This FD4596 fit perfectly. My old filter was an aftermarket Wix with built-in lid, so my truck was down for several days until I got a replacement cap. Local Ford dealer had a cap for over $62. I found the exact OEM cap at Riff Raff Diesel for $19.93. It looks exactly like the one I got from the local dealer (and then returned).
