Excellent fertilizer! Great value for the money. Effectiveness is wonderful and no unpleasant smell. Good longevity of effectiveness and appearance is noticeable fast.

One of the best products I have purchased. This things really work, i have noticed a big difference. Grass is taller and thicker, now I may have to pay more to get it cut.

After reading the reviews, I decided to do a test spot before I spread it all over my one year old dying sod. I live in a coastal climate and it gets very hot here. Average 105°F heat index with very mild winters. Sandy soil also. I've only had to mow my grass three times for all of 2021. My grass was looking very spotty and I tried the Scott's EZ Seed first on the really bare spots (that's proven to be a challenge of it's own just to get seeds started on the spots that are too far gone for just fertilizer.) Then realized that maybe I just needed to fertilize my yard instead of reseeding as the EZ Seed is a mixture of seeds and fertilizer and it livened up the surrounding grass. This has made a huge difference in the appearance and growth rate of my yard. It has helped it so much and the added bonus...I finished applying it a day before it rained, so no worries about watering it because it hasn't stopped raining for a little over a week. After the test spot checked out, I mowed before applying the rest. I applied in the evening so the sun wouldn't beat down on it. Lightly watered after applying (as recommended in the evening) and the rain has done the rest. There are still a few patchy spots as of 8/6/2021, but they are slowly filling in. I used a hand held battery powered seeder on the recommended setting to spread. This definitely did not cover the square footage of two tennis ball courts as described on the package. It took the entire bag to do my little bit of a yard. My yard could potentially get one tennis ball court in square footage as of right now. It definitely brought life back (and a beautiful healthy color) to my yard and I will definitely buy this again. Do a test spot first then apply as recommended and you shouldn't have any problems with it burning your lawn. After two weeks...it's time to mow my yard again. Mowed the lawn after a month and I am very happy with this product. Four stars because it doesn't cover the advertised square footage.

I'm no green thumb, and the long sun-filled summer didn't help the lawn. I was worried most of my lawn grass had all died. Very easy to use, spread the Scott's turf builder evenly and started to heavily water in the evening hours. Within 2 weeks the green lawn was starting to show through. I had treated about 2,000 sq.ft. with one bag and kept up the watering. I retreated again after 2 months, the rainy and shady November and December helped plenty. Now it's back to weeding and trimming, this was a great start and help for me to get my green lawn back.

I'll let the pictures show why it's a 5 star. Never fertilized the yard and decided to go with this one to try it out since it was cheaper and it's showing how well it works. You can see a clear difference of where my yard and the neighbor's yards are clearly different in grass color and growth.

Works great with my bent grass planted in the wet Pacific Northwest. Keeps my grass green all year long. Typically adding to my lawn every 2 months.

Bag came ripped and taped up. Knew it was going to be a problem and sent it anyways.

The product Scott’s turf builder came in time as promised. Great service. Now ready to feed my lawn.

My lawn has still not recovered from fertilizer burn. I tried to give it a quick go-over with a hand spreader, but I must have dropped some extra in many places.

Exorbitant price for a small bag of fertilizer. When returning they charge an exorbitant cost to return. BEWARE!
