Great book for beginning of kindergarten
Mo Williams is the best! We use this book in our school to introduce parts of the school before we head off to take a tour of the school. Silly, fun & well done!

Mo Willemstad… genius!!
I ordered this as a Christmas gift for my neighbor son who is 2 1/2. I’ve started him on the pigeon series, and this will help complete it. This book is a classic and a big favor in our household.

The Pigeon's Hilarious School Dilemma
In The Pigeon HAS to Go to School, Mo Willems brings back his beloved character in a fun, relatable story that captures the apprehensions and excitement surrounding the first day of school. Brilliantly illustrated and brimming with Willems’ signature humor, this delightful tale follows the Pigeon as he grapples with the idea of attending school, adamantly proclaiming that he already knows everything there is to know. As the Pigeon voices his numerous worries—What if he doesn't like school? What if the teacher doesn’t like him?—young readers are sure to resonate with his comedic overreactions and relatable fears. Willems’ engaging narrative encourages a lighthearted approach to an experience that often causes anxiety for children embarking on their educational journey. Perfect for read-aloud sessions, The Pigeon HAS to Go to School is both entertaining and reassuring, making it an ideal choice for parents and caregivers looking to prepare kids for school. With witty dialogue and vibrant illustrations, Willems captures the universal feelings of uncertainty, while reminding us all that stepping into the unknown can lead to wonderful new adventures. Funny story about the pigeon
At first I was doubting about the book but my kid was laughing about a pigeon who wanted to stay little pigeon forever and not going to school. We had a problem with 1st grade and a teacher who wanted kids to learn more academic way not the “kinder way”. My kid was imitating the illness and tried to avoid to go to the school because he still wants to play. Nothing bad with that but I thought maybe some story will help, that explains what he actually does at the 1st grade… so it was quite helpful. I’m going to quote and remind him about the pigeon.

Interactive and Fun
Bought this book for my three year old. She already knows how to read and this book is kind of perfect for her. She laughs and repeats the paragraphs and giggles about it. Paperbag serves the purpose so dont need to spend on the hardcover.
