I know there are cheaper no-name brands of tape. But, I have always used Scotch brand by 3M. It is very consistent and has excellent qualities. It is very clear and that make is easy to see through it. It has great sticking ability and the tape holds for years. It is easy to refill a tape dispenser and I love the little red patch that makes starting the tape a snap. High quality tape is one of life's little joys.

i ordered this yesterday. it arrived today. it's the shiny variety, so it's not invisible when you apply it to whatever you're using it for. i wanted the 'invisible' kind, so i guess the word "transparent" was the tip-off (rather than "invisible"). oh well, it'll still get used, and i have the other kind on order, anyway. but i do think that the manufacturer/seller does have a responsibility to make it more clear and apparent (what the actual difference is between the 2 kinds) --both in the listing and on the packaging. that's why i deducted one star. otherwise, still great scotch tape. recommendation: pay a bit extra, and get the best (the "3m scotch" brand) cellophane tape. the cheaper stuff just doesn't satisfy in the same way, and you only live once (as they say [even though it's not true; lol] ).

Did its job.

Good tape, nothing too special about it. It sticks pretty well but it also tears down the middle easily which is a pain every time I have to find the end of the tape again and it starts tearing in half before I can even get it off of itself. That might honestly be my fault though. If you're looking for something that sticks, this will work! It even sticks to my walls which a lot of other tapes didn't.

Does what it should. Sticky, cuts easily,holds well. Nuff said.
