Birds Choice 1202 Pole Mount Flange, 1 in., Black

Worked well for mounting a bird house on a pole.

It's a very sturdy flange. The screws that came with it are very small both in diameter and length so I used some others I had. It just barely fits over a 1" pole. The first time I installed it without the pole in place and it was off just a hair and wouldn't slide over the pole. So then I removed it and I installed it with the pole through the flange hole as well as the seed catcher hole and then it was perfect.

5-13-2013. I have used Heritage Farms Absolute II Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder Price: $63.68 for eight years and it has performed flawlessly. I now bought another for a family member. For the new one I purchased the "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" from amazon.com instead of using the plastic adapter and the 1" thin metal pole (four sections) that comes with the bird feeder unit. I found the steel pole so flimsy that I purchased a 1.5" diameter plastic water pipe 10' section from Home Depot and installed that in the ground after cutting the pipe to a 7' length (burying one foot deep into the ground). You attach the "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" to the bird feeder, then use the plactic pipe adapter and shim it for instertion into the plastic pipe to create a very sturdy pole that will withstand any weather. The "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" requires some shimming and drilling screw holes into the bottom of the feeder to mount, but it fits the plastic pipe, especially if you use a 1.5" to 1.25" plastic water pipe reduction adapter fitting, also available at Home Depot. My first pole setup has lasted perfectly for eight years, but I like the newer idea better.

I used this flange to put up a bird house feeder on a 1’ pole. It’s very light and only had three spot welds holding the two pieces together. It’s a little pricey for the quality. The flange also comes with three mounting screws. Overall a decent flange for light weight mounting.

This was easy to mount on my birdhouse and fit my bird feeder pole perfectly.

I almost didn't order this. I bought new parts for a bird feeder pole but used an old part that holds the squirral baffle up. I broke the wing screw on the side tightening but needed to move it up a few inches. So, I ordered this one hoping it would fit and it fit perfectly! I just put it above the old one. Good solid steel and better wing nut than the original!

Fit my pole perfectly. I stopped feeding the birds when rats showed up. This enabled me to still use the nice, tall pole I had.
