## Description

Embark on a learning adventure with Mr. Pencil and the Mr. Pencil's ABC Backpack. This one of a kind toy lets toddlers interact with the alphabet in awesome ways. Using the write and erase board, kids can practice letter writing and drawing with Mr. Pencil. The screen shows how to write each letter step-by-step and then shows how to turn each letter into animals. Inserting the 26 letter pieces into the letter spaces teaches the letter name, letter sound, an animal that begins with that letter and more. Little learners can play seven different activities and when they’re done, the plastic backpack holds all the pieces inside. Clip the backpack closed and wear like a real backpack for learning on the go. Draw, learn and get going! Intended for ages 3+ years. Requires 2 AA batteries. Batteries included for demo purposes only. New batteries recommended for regular use.

Review: We love this toy! - I don't often leave reviews, but just had to for this one. I actually bought two of the backpacks. One for my 4 year old and 1 for my 3 year old. I can't say enough good things about this toy. It is a sturdy well made product. I don't feel that it is overpriced for what you are getting. This toy is solid and well made, it should last a long time. It isn't too large, and the mess is self contained. It will travel good as well. The letters are super tight like another reviewer said, which is great! I don't think we will be losing the letter pieces any time soon. Even though the letters are tight, my 3 year old was still able to pull them out and put them back in. Mr pencil is tethered to the toy, and won't get lost. It has several different games and both of my girls have loved playing with them. My older girls have enjoyed helping their siblings as well. The age range is spot on. My 3 year old enjoys the hands on puzzle aspect of it and all the different songs. She isn't coordinated enough to draw the letters or pictures too good, but she has fun trying. My 4 year old loves trying to write all the letters, and is doing quite well. It is interesting enough that it can hold their attention for a good half hour, and they will play with it on their own. Interacting and helping them with it makes it even more educational. I really think this toy will help them learn their alphabet. I love that the letter pieces are capitals. Because usually we teach capital letter first. They do have a button for drawing lower case letters as well though. Probably my favorite feature is that it teaches your child how to draw letter animals. That feature alone will make this toy last longer. My older kids 9 and 6 love that aspect. The only thing I wish is that they had made the letters magnetic, then they could have been letter stamps as well. Overall it's a great toy, and I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
Review: Great product! - This is such a wonderful gift. I bought this for my 2 year old autistic grandson and he literally taught himself all his alphabet using it in just a matter of weeks. Highly recommend. It is by far one of his favorite toys and he has so much fun learning. The only downside is if the child is rough on toys the write on screen part doesn’t hold up well but I don’t think that’s bc of a manufacturing issue, I think it’s just bc of what it is and it would be the same issue regardless of maker bc you need to be gentle with that type of activity. Other than that it is a very durable toy for a little one who plays rough. Lol - (nanny/grandma review) To check all the boxes- functionality- wonderful. Brightness- perfect. Battery life- surprisingly good considering he plays with it constantly!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute screentime alternative
*by P***E on April 29, 2025*

My kid loves this backpack so much, we bought two (one for each house he visits). The removable letters are fun on their own (we have used them as shape stamps in play dough as well as just letters for sorting), but I leave them off the backpack so that my kid can see the animals and practice a little finer motor skill in pressing the buttons directly. The featured activities have a decent variety (my kid has a favorite function - the letter guessing game), the recorded voice's pronunciation is clear and accurate, and the doodle screen is large enough to have plenty of space to practice writing. I like that the doodle pencil as attached as well since it's a rather important part, and I appreciate that there are at least two volume levels. Overall, we love this toy.
