Ver good quality horticultural charcoal if this is what you need

This product works very well when re-potting our Orchids

Needed to repot a couple of orchids in containers that have drain holes at sides and bottom. Up to now had not been able to find a vendor that supplied pieces of charcoal large enough not to fall through holes. When i received my package today i was pleasantly surprised that Perfect Plants supplied nice large pieces that are perfect for the repot. Thank you, Perfect Plants, for a quality product at a good price. Plus, the price was right for charcoal.

Just what I needed for the bed of pot for better drainage. Also mixed it into succulent soil and those are doing great.

I like the size and chunkiness

This charcoal is a little chunkier than I’m used to but it’s great. I like a chunky mix and this adds to it. Easy to mix into whatever you’re planting in. Helps keep bacteria down. It’s a dry product. Not moist. There was a bit of charcoal dust that cones along with it so I suggest not using your hands to move it around or level it. Your hands will be black when you’re done. Glives will help prevent that bu also suggest wearing a mask when pouring it into a container. It’s a great value. Easy to use. Just mix it into your substrate.
