Want to use to line each side of aisle runner for wedding. How many petals would I need for a full look on each side of the aisle?

Depending on the length of the aisle runner I would say roughly these would cover an 8 to10 foot long by 1 foot wide stretch down one side

Do these float in water?

Not at all. Sank right to the bottom of the tub.

They don't offer the color I need, which is orange. Am I able to dye these?

I wouldn’t recommend it . The material doesn’t seem absorbent
