The baskets were as described in size and color. The biggest downfall is that they smell strongly of a campfire. I’ve left them outside a couple days and now I’ve washed them hoping the smell will start to fade. Also, the package they arrived in was horribly beat up.

I left this out side in my screened porch to air out for 2 weeks then brough it in the house. The whole kitchen smelled like there had been a severe fire! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

Very nice trays of good quality and good price. We purchased two sets and use them daily. Note these trays were smoked over a wood fire. This darkens the material, helps protect it and gives it a strong smell of a camp fire. It does not effect the functionality in any way. The wood smoke smell will slowly dissipate over time.

The shape and material are exactly how I wanted. But all 3 in a pack had terrible strong smoke smell I couldn’t tell it was tobacco smell or burnt smell.It was as strong as when I burnt my whole pot of soup and smoked my whole house. Irritated my throat and I immediately started getting throat and chest congestion and losing voice from the congestion. I washed it and I could wipe soot in the rim. Do they smoke the bamboo while making it? If so, they should also take washing it off step. I washed them with soap and rinsed multiple times but I might have to return then if the smell does not go away after overnight.Update: Smoke smell still lingers after some weeks of use. I don’t hate the shape and quality so I’m still using it. Some people said it will dissipate with uses but has not happened.
