I had been using a USB multimedia stick drive to transfer files from my micro SD cards to my compatible devices for the better part of two years before the stick drive began failing, and eventually declined to be read by my laptops. Needless to say, this is a very outdated form of transferring, as the write speeds are nothing special, topping out at a measly 20 mb/s. After quickly perusing the thousands of external card readers offered by Amazon, I noticed this relatively unknown brand. I decided to budget a small investment of less than $30, and so, I settled on this interesting little piece of tech. When I first received the unit, I was delighted by its compact size, and the straightforward nature in which it works. It harbors two slots, one for a regular sized SD card, and one for a micro SD card. The USB-C plug engages directly to the Thunderbolt port on my ASUS Zephyrus S15, and is also compatible with my PS5's USB-C port. This was actually a pleasant surprise, and a bonus for me, as I had not envisioned utilizing it as such. Anyway, the write speeds were admirable, at least 4x what I had come to expect from my the stick drive multi-reader which had failed miserably for me on several occasions previously, and had been relegated to the rubbish bin. For an investment of just over $20, I now have a portable, reliable option which I can easily store in my laptop bag when I'm on the go. If you are looking for an item to fit your card reading needs, and you don't want to spend buku bucks on a name brand piece of equipment, may I please suggest the UNI USB-C to SD/MicroSD Card Reader. It'll get your transfers moving along at a healthy clip, and will outperform any USB stick reader you can find, so throw that stick in the rubbish, and align yourself with the forces of UNI.

Our previous car had a slot for a SD card and we used it as an aux music source. There was however, a 64gb limit. That was still lots of music, but it still didn't hold my entire playlist. We just traded in that car and the new car does not have a built in SD slot. It does however, have C inputs and that input source does not seem to have a limit in size. This reader is perfect for this purpose. - the cable is short enough so it doesn't tangle or take up unnecessary room in the center console, yet the short length gives some flexibility to be able to lay it flat and out of the way in the small console space - the cable is also flexible enough so the reader sits nice and flat at the bottom of the console - the short cord is a woven material which seems to be sturdier than the typical unprotected types - it can handle both SD and micro-SD cards - for my specific needs, the car recognized it immediately and hasn't glitched at all - * * again, for my specific needs only - - - I did have to purchase a right angle C adapter to manage the angle of the cable in my confined console space. This is only for my needs specifically, but do take note that even if using this with a laptop, the device/cable will stick straight out. Very happy with this!

This is MUCH better than I expected at this price. Build quality and functionality are both excellent. This is UHS I, but will work perfectly well with UHS II media without V60 and V90 data transfer speed. If you really need UHS II read speed, there's a card reader from this seller that appears to be identical but with UHS II compatibility - at double the price.

Bra pris, bra storlek, bra hastighet. Jag kan inte säga någonting om hållbarhet, för jag fick den nyss, jag hade tyckt om ifall usb kabeln till själva läsaren gick att ta bort (och byta ut när den väl går sönder); men hittills är jag helnöjd.

Da ich jetzt erst dazu gekommen bin, eine Bewertung zu schreiben, füge ich gleich noch meine Erfahrungen mit meinen anderen UNI-Adaptern bei: 2 x uni USB-C zu USB Adapter: Funktionieren beide wunderbar und erfüllen ihren Zweck bestens. Bisher wurden beide Adapter an einem Mac Mini 2018 auf der Arbeit genutzt, um „alte“ Peripherie anzuschliessen, wie z.B. USB Sticks und externe Festplatten/SSDs. Seit kurzem habe ich einen Adapter immer bei meinem neuen iPad Pro dabei, um endlich auch hier mal schnell ein externes Medium anschliessen zu können. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei, keine dünnen Kabel, die schnell kaputt gehen und damit für den mobilen Einsatz geeignet. uni USB-C auf VGA Adapter War bisher auch am Mac Mini auf der Arbeit genutzt, um einen älteren analogen TFT als zusätzlichen Monitor anzuschliessen. Es gab bisher keinerlei Probleme. Ab und an nutze ich den Adapter nun auch am iPad Pro, wenn auf der Arbeit der Beamer-Anschluss nur analog vorhanden ist. Das original Apple Produkt mit 79€ ist hier einfach unnütz überteuert. Auch hier eine gute Verarbeitung und meinerseits die Empfehlung für den mobilen Einsatz. Meinerseits konnte ich (ausser dem fehlenden USB-A und C Port) gegenüber dem „original“ keine Unterschiede feststellen. uni USB-C auf SD/MicroSD-Kartenleser Habe ich ebenfalls als mobiles Zubehör für das iPad Pro bestellt, da mir die original Apple Produkte hier kein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bieten. Zwar hatte ich bisher den originalen Lightning Adapter, wollte auch hier keine 45€ für einen Adapter ausgeben. Funktioniert mit einer Samsung Micro SD und im Adapter von meiner SONY Spiegelreflex wunderbar und auch flott genug (Obwohl das eher der schnellen Speicherkarte zuzuschreiben ist) uni USB-C auf HDMI Kabel Wohl die sinnvollste Anschaffung aller vier Adapter. Hier würde seitens Apple Original nochmals 79€ (inkl. USB-A und C Port) PLUS ein HDMI Kabel fällig werden. Von uni hier eine direkte Kabel-Lösung, demnach kein Adapter notwendig und von mir auch keinerlei Unterschiede erkennbar. Auch dieses Kabel schafft 4k/60Hz. Nutze ich zu Hause an einem SONY 4K OLED TV und auf der Arbeit an den integrierten Beamern für Präsentationen. Was mir (durch den Kauf des iPad Pros) am meisten gefällt, ist, dass ich die Kabel und Adapter nun geräteübergreifend nutzen kann (funktionieren alle wunderbar am Ipad Pro, am Mac Mini 2018 und auch an Windows-Geräten auf der Arbeit. Mein „Adapter-Täschchen“ ist deutlich kleiner geworden. Verarbeitung bei allen von mir erworbenen Adaptern/Kabeln ist hervorragend – aus meiner Sicht mindestens genauso hochwertig wie die „originalen“ Adapter von Apple. Was mir noch fehlen würde, wäre ein funktionierende Adapter von USB-C auf 3,5mm Klinke (Audio) für das iPad Pro. Die Apple eigene Lösung ist hier mit 10€ zwar nicht teuer, aber das (kurze) Kabel ist ein Witz. Super dünn und wahrscheinlich sehr schnell defekt – Eigentlich keine Empfehlung für den mobilen Gebrauch meinerseits. Unter dem Strich sind alle Kabel/Adapter bestens für alle meine gängigen Einsatzgebiete geeignet, bieten eine gute Qualität und sind zu einem vergleichbar günstigen Preis zu haben: 2 x USB-C zu USB : 9,99€ USB-C auf VGA: 15,99€ USB-C auf (micro) SD: 12,99€ USB-C auf HDMI: 15,99€ Demnach grob 45€ für ein „ganzes Set“, was bei Apple so aussehen würde: USB-C auf USB: 2x25€ 50€ USB-C auf VGA: 79€ (allerdings inkl. USB-A und C) USB-C auf SD: 45€ (ohne Micro SD) USB-C auf HDMI: 79€ (wieder inkl. USB-A und C, allerdings ohne HDMI Kabel) Demnach wären hier im Vergleich 253€ fällig (plus HDMI Kabel) bei gleicher Leistung/Qualität – kann wohl jeder für sich entscheiden. Ach ja – bei zwei Adaptern waren sogar kleine Stofftäschchen für den mobilen Gebrauch dabei. Alles in allem fühle ich mich hier bei den Adaptern von uni sehr sehr gut beraten.
