Singapore Math – Level 4A Math Practice Workbook for 5th Grade, Paperback, Ages 10–11 with Answer Key

I homeschool and this is the workbooks I have my 5th graders do. I love it because there are units and reviews, there is an answer sheet in the back and in the front there are instructions on the math problems it’s great for kids and for teachers!

My kids love math and wanted an extra challenge. They usually followed the samples and were able to go through book with minimal assistance. Answers in back made them proud to check and get a lot of them right on their own too.

Didn't get 4 stars because it did not specify it is not for the US but for the Standards (?) version. It follows along relatively well with the lessons, but not exactly with the US version. You can figure it out but it's not as forthright. Glad to have the extra practice when needed, and it does a nice job of giving examples and explaining the rationale. So we are happy enough with it that we bought the other levels for other children.

summary and table of contents well detailed so you can go directly to the exercizes pertaining to what is being thaught at school at any given time, so is great as a complement to school anywhere in the US or the world

Excellent book if your school is using the Singapore math program. It's great even if you're not but, you need to understand it, in order to understand and teach it to your child. Would also recommend this for home schooler children/parents. Great way to learn match in a very simplistic way.

We love Singapore Math and especially the practice books (which can be hard to find in our locale). This level still beats Saxon in my and my kids' book (the common "knowledge" in the homeschooling community is that you need to switch to Saxon if you haven't been using it, at about the 5th grade level, but we don't think so).

The Singapore math serial definitely helps my kids to practice the math skills. It mixed with drill and problem solving questions. Some of questions are easy while some are challenging. I will definitely recommend them.

Singapore Maths Practice books are amazing for reinforcement of learning at home. They provide good explanations for the parent and lots of questions for the child. to complete. As a result they build skills and confidence in the child, which I think is really important. As a parent and a teacher, I highly recommend.

For some questions, more easy explanations lead to answers are required.
