The Ultimate Everyday Companion (Even for Die-Hard Garmin Users!)
I’ve been using the Fitbit Air paired with my Android device for a few weeks now, and it has completely nailed its spot on my wrist. It’s important to understand what this device is: it’s not trying to be a bulky, do-it-all GPS sports watch. Instead, it is the absolute perfect everyday companion to an existing fitnes watch like Garmin Fenix. The Standout Features: Featherlight Comfort: This thing is incredibly lightweight. The fit is so comfortable that I completely forget I'm wearing it, which is a massive plus for 24/7 wear. Stellar Battery Life: I don’t have to baby the battery at all. It easily goes the distance, making daily charging anxiety a thing of the past. Top-Tier Sleep Tracking: As expected from Fitbit, the sleep insights are phenomenal, accurate, and easy to digest on my Android app. Plays Nice with Garmin: This was the biggest win for me. It seamlessly blends in the information from other activities recorded on my Garmin. It doesn't fight my dedicated sports tracker; it complements it beautifully. Verdict: If you already have a heavy-duty tracker for your workouts but want something sleek, light, and comfortable for daily wellness and sleep tracking, the Fitbit Air is a masterclass in companion tech.

Very good device and a nice wake up alarm.
Very light, Long battery (about a week in my experience) and nice app (google health). Having no display is no problem for my use case. I just use it and check the data from time to time. Step, pulse, sleep and O2 tracking are very good. It has become my wake alarm, its very quiet yet very effective to wake me up. Hopefully new bands become more available with time, the included one does the job, but i am a bit worried about long term durability. It has a good amount extra length, so i can see it being used by people with small and big wrists with no problem. I dont know about the water protection, i never fully trust electronics with water. I just put it away if i go swimming or before taking a bath. Finally, watch out with metal objects near the charger cable since it has magnets, and with the exposed pins that could get damaged.

Fits like it was made for my wrist — love the screenless concept!
I’ve been wearing the Fitbit Air for a few days now and I’m genuinely impressed with the overall experience. The band fits perfectly — snug but not tight, and the woven material feels soft against the skin all day long. No irritation, no discomfort, even overnight. What really won me over is how lightweight and minimal it feels. There’s no screen, no buttons — just pure health tracking that syncs everything to the Google Health app. At first I was skeptical about having no display, but honestly? It’s so freeing. No distractions, no urge to check notifications constantly. It tracks heart rate 24/7, SpO2, sleep stages, HRV, and even AFib alerts — all the essentials without the bulk of a smartwatch. Battery lasts up to 7 days, and the fast charge gives you a full day in just 5 minutes. However, one thing worth noting — the distance tracking during runs is not very accurate. I compared it with my running app and the numbers were noticeably off. This device is clearly designed for general wellness users, not serious athletes or runners who need precise distance data. If you’re training for a race or tracking pace seriously, you might want to look elsewhere — or at least wait for a firmware update that hopefully improves accuracy. Bottom line: Perfect for everyday health monitoring — sleep, heart rate, and general activity. Just don’t expect it to replace your GPS running watch anytime soon.

Best Fitbit
Great tracker for basic steps, heart rate and sleep monitoring. The tracker is slim and comfortable also to use in bed. I have quite small wrist and I appreciate the small size of the sensor. I use it 24/7 and remove it only when showering. The battery lasts full week and the charging is very fast. Also, the blood oxygen level seems to work (I was just in Denver at one mile altitude over sea level, and the tracker detected lower oxygen saturation than normally). I use the tracker in my right hand, since I like to use a mechanical watch in my left hand, and it would be silly to have a watch with display in the other wrist. It is very nice, that this is just a band without distractions and does not bother you with buzzing etc like the smart watches do.

Discontinued Whoop based on this
I was considering renewing my subscription with Whoop when I saw this was getting released. I used Whoop mostly for sleep and recovery, not as much for strain but I enjoyed the constant heart rate monitoring, auto workout detection, and seeing average heart rate and fluctuations during workouts. But this would also mean forking out yet another $240 for an annual subscription and then we are talking over $600 for 3 years worth of use. The Fitbit is a bit familiar to be as I used to be a Fitbit user for a long time until 2022 when I moved to Apple. First, it’s much lighter and more comfortable than Whoop. It’s also good at workout detection (and slowly getting better) and the heart rate monitoring when comparing to Whoop is spot on. This has readiness over recovery as a metric but they are similar. The Fitbit definitely under estimates REM. While I get two hours on average with Apple / Whoop this has me at about an hour and 10 minutes after two weeks of use. Also the HRV is always lower on Fitbit by about 20% sometimes more. The Health Coach is a bit of a flop and I definitely prefer the Whoop AI Coach. While it can be helpful with probing, nobody has the time for the prompts it’d take and I mostly just use it only to track my metrics and trends since the layout on the Google Health app is not nearly as nicely laid out like Whoop where you can easily track trends. But the reason I’m discontinuing my Whoop subscription is simply the ongoing cost. For $100 for a one time purchase with zero cost ongoing subscription fee if you already have AI Pro, and the trade offs are worth it.

Best Wearable on the Market!
Overall this Fitbit is great. I’ve been using it for over a month now and have been quite pleased with it. Great value for the price and beats many of the other wearables on the market. Things I like: Price- For only a $100, this is great value for a wearable, many of the other competitors in the market like Whoop, Aura, and Ultrahuman cost hundreds of dollars and this provides the same health metrics for a fraction of the cost. No Subscription- This comes out of the box without needing to pay a monthly subscription. Huge selling point for long term usability. Design- I like the minimal design and thin profile on the wrist. Doesn’t look like you’re wearing an expensive device which is a huge plus for me. Extra Band- I love that this also comes with an extra active band to use for exercising. Especially helpful for me when I swim. Things I don’t like (some nitpicks): Cardio Load Measurement- The Fitbit Air will measure your cardio load after a recognized workout or physical activity. I found this measurement a little inconsistent. For example, I noticed a few instances where a 20 min light walk around the neighborhood would somehow register as a higher cardio load compared to a vigorous 40 swim workout where I was completely exhausted afterwards. Some of the readings may be off there. Touch Battery Indicator- According to the user guide, a double tap on the top of the band/puck should trigger the light indicator for the amount of charge left on the device. I found this mechanic to be a little faulty. Doesn’t always show the light indication on double taps and I find myself having to do it multiple times for the light to show up on the puck. “Ask Coach” assistant- Signed up for the free trial of the Coach assistant feature on the app. Chatting with the coach can be cumbersome sometimes. The Gemini AI model that Google uses for its responses are very slow and it takes a long time to get responses back from the AI. Google should use one of its more lightweight LLMs for this feature for a smoother experience. Sleeping- Depending on your sleeping position the Fitbit can be slightly uncomfortable and press against the top of your wrist. You may need to adjust your arm position to avoid this sometimes. Not a dealbreaker though.

An Excellent, Stylish, and Affordable Tracker!
Great fitness tracker for a great price—highly recommend! I’ve been using the Fitbit Air for a bit now, and it is easily one of the best trackers you can get for the price. Plus, it syncs flawlessly whether you use an iPhone or an Android. What I love: Super comfortable: It’s so lightweight and sleek that I easily wear it 24/7, even to sleep. Insane battery life: It easily lasts a full 7 to 8 days on a single charge, and it juices up incredibly fast. Very accurate: The heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and step counts are right on the money. Smart features that actually work: The auto-workout detection is seamless, calorie tracking is reliable, and the vibrating smart alarm is a game-changer for waking up peacefully. Easy to customize: Swapping out the straps to match my outfits takes seconds. A few things to note:The companion app can feel a bit clunky and needs some improvements. Luckily, Google updates it pretty often, so I expect it to get better soon. Just double-check availability if you want the Health Premium version, as it isn't accessible in every country yet. If you are looking for a reliable, stylish fitness tracker that won't break the bank, buy this one. You won't regret it!

The best health tracker at this price.
I like the screenless design because it tracks my activity without constantly distracting me with notifications. The band is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear throughout the day and while sleeping. Heart rate, steps, workouts, and sleep information are easy to check through the app. Battery life has also been good, and I only need to charge it every 5-7 days. The app took a little time to get used to. Overall, it’s a comfortable and simple fitness tracker for anyone who doesn’t want another screen on their wrist.
