15th September 2020: HyperDrive is a reliable company and this product is the same. The shell and the USB C end is metallic and robust. All the ports work perfectly fine, I've seen a few people complain about the HDMI but it works fine for me on both an android device (Reno10x) and laptop (Swift 5 2020). It supports charging with PowerDelivery but doesn't support proprietary charging like DashCharge, SuperVOOC, Dart etc. The USB C port can be used for data as well as charging; unlike others like the one from Zebronics or PiBox. Can support Keyboard, Mouse, USB mic simultaneously and can work at 1080p60fps (I don't have a 4k display but am sure it would work). Satisfied with the product, please try not to go for cheaper alternatives as they have high failure rates. 7 May 2022: Just an update, still works great. Its a small adapter that works great with MacBook Pro but after a day I find the monitor keeps going off for a second or so. Had it replaced by Amazon and found the problem persisted. Contacted [email protected] who were super helpful and suggested me to replace the HDMI cable and that was it. Replaced the HDMI cable and it works great! It does heat up like suggested in other reviews but that does not impact the functionality. And the heat is much less than the actual macbook which gets way more hot.

Does the job, good product at a fair price as compared to others of similar calibre. Pros: The HDMI and charging slot works without any glitches. Cons: The product heats up a little.

I had the misfortune of product not working. Very helpful response from the team. Sent a replacement.

I bought this for my mac that has thunderbolt c type mounts. This product if okay if you plan to use the bluetooth reciever for a bluetooth mouse. This is not recommended if you plan to use for bluetooth mouse and HDMI cable at the same time. The mouse pointer shows significant lag and you will get fed up when you can not control the mouse pointer as expected. HDMI cable and display works fine as expected. The component get super hot when you run the HDMI cable port. Now looks like I will have to by a new port for the bluetooth reciever.

I use it to connect my MacBook Pro to an external monitor and it does this very well. The ports are well thought out and it is very convenient to connect it to my Printer via the USB port...I found that the printing speed was very slow...but later discovered that this was an HP printer issue. If you are looking for a hub with limited things to connect...Go for this one..its good.

using with m1, Samsung t5 getting disconnected without reason, even when not using any monitor, just power and t5. Need to manually remove it and reset. simply unusable for the purpose. With monitor it gets hot, but not that much, very much usable. so only use it is to connect a monitor that too supports lower frequency of @60. In short it is not worth the brand. when you pay almost twice the premium over smaller brands you don't expect the same issues as you face. Quality of the connector and usb wire is normal.

I have been using it for almost 3 months now and I is working perfectly fine. I have bought it for my 13” Mac Book Pro 2017 which has all the type C ports. All the port are working as mentioned in the product details and price wise also I found it competitive. I could say expensive but other brands are selling the similar kind of product on a higher price so I found it decent in that price range. Suffices the need.
