Amazing gadget and very effective.
We did our homework prior to purchasing this and consulted Which? where we learnt lots more about the validity and use of these devices. Glad we did as this is amazing! We use it in 'auto' mode set at 50% when our little humidity meter in our rooms shows about 70% humidity which is very rare as we now have economical heating sorted out as well. We now mainly use the dehumidifier for drying the washing and no longer use the tumble dryer. We do 2 loads of washing on the same day, each load on an extra 1200 spin in the machine. The washing is then put on airers in the spare bedroom (12' x 10') and the dehumidifier switched on as above. The washing is usually on the airers by about 11am and it is generally dry by about 6pm and ready to iron or air in the airing cupboard. The bedroom is heated by an electric radiator set at 17 degrees so not too warm - we couldn't find anywhere in the research whether there should be heating on as well though. We empty 3 litres of water from the the dehumidifier afterwards and save the water for watering the plants! (The water is not suitable for drinking). The unit switches off automatically when the water reservoir reaches 3 litres of water). There is no condensation in the bedroom at all during this time and the dehumidifier actually gives out heat too. We are pleased to say that the condensation in our home is now virtually non-existent but, on these exceptionally cold nights, it can be left switched on 'auto' in the bedrooms overnight if required. It is not loud enough to keep us awake and the slight hum is actually quite soothing. It is also economical to run being 660W on high power. There are convenient handles for transportation (we move it from upstairs to downstairs with relative ease). We were thinking of buying another of these units but just this one is so effective, we will wait a little longer to see if we need 2 units - we don't foresee that we do. Highly recommended if used properly.

Pro Breeze 10L dehumidifier
This is a very well made and solid looking unit, the controls are clearly marked and easy to use. The unit it's self is very effective, reduces the humidity very quickly. Set to auto reduces the sound level but takes longer to reach the desired level, Set to number 2 is much quicker, also if the power is switched off it will remember the settings so could be used with a timer. Overall a very effective and good quality unit.

Brilliant !!
As this was my first Dehumidifier I did a bit of research and as I live in a old stone two storey house with dampness and with colder temperatures i decided on the Desiccant version of Dehumidifier over the compressor version as it works better in lower temperatures. Here is my verdict after seven months of use all i can say it is one of the best purchases I've ever made. 1: It works extremely well at removing moisture from the air in the house regardless of temperatures its very consistent and fills the three litre tank in a few hours. 2: Its brilliant for drying clothes especially during the winter months or anytime when it isn't possible to dry them outside it will dry a laundry load over night (it use to take nearly take a week to dry them in the winter inside before I got the Dehumidifier) 3: As well as dehumidifying it will warm a small bedroom quickly raising the temperature very quickly. 4: Now i mostly use it in the kitchen area on for two hours a day and it keeps the humidity down as it was very damp in this area no more dampness on the walls or mouldy, or damp smell or food going damp. 5: What I have found it is extremely consistent in the levels of moisture it removes regardless of tempertures at first i was gobsmacked at the amount of moisture it was removing so I'm emtying the three litre tank ever second or third evening but you can have it continuously drain with the supplied pipe if you wish into a sink or larger container. 6: So if you have a older, colder house i would highly recommend this Desiccant Dehumidifier if your house is newer or warmer then the compressor version might suit your needs better as I believe it is more energy efficient. 7: So the only negative is you can't run it on a timer as the machine has to be manually switched on but there is a timer switch which you can press to have it stop in 2, 4, 8 or 12 hour intervals after it stops it will run for couple of minutes to cool of so it is important to allow this to happen before plugging it out. 8: I don't often write reviews but this product merited a review as I was very impressed with it.

Extracts water in low temperatures and helps to warm the room it is in.
Using this in the front room (270 sq ft or 25 sq m) with a chimney. The heated dessicant dehumidifier type extracts a lot more water from the room than the standard refridgerated version at lower temperatures. When used in combination with room heating, the room feels warm quicker. There is a good instruction booklet. The controls are explained very well and after a little experimenting I found the right combination set-up for me. In operation, in automode, the air is pushed through quickly by fan and when the moisture content of the room is reduce to a selected percentage the air flow reduces. This reduces the running costs and fan noise to a minimum. I usually sit away from the dehumidifier when it is running and haven’t found the fan noise intrusive. Also, the dessicant heating elements produce a warming effect as the air leaves the dehumidifier and goes back into the room. This helps to reduce the heating time of the room. This unit is light and portable with a carry handle to setup in any room as needed. I empty the water tank as required. It has a handy carry handle. I would recommend this dessicant dehumidifier.

Great at capturing the moisture
I have black mould in my bathroom and bedroom and needed to try to get rid of it. Got this as part of my cunning plan and very glad I did - the humidity level is often 80% in my home. Its super easy to use and has been removing litres of water from my house every time I have switched it on! It is loud when in high power so only use that when I can close the door over while I am in another room. On low power it is much quieter. If I could make two changes one would be to put wheels on the bottom. The unit is fairly light when not full of water so can be moved about easily by most people but I use crutches because of severe arthritis so it can be tricky for me. The second would be to make the tank easier to empty. I find it hard to carry in one hand without spilling some - it has a carry handle but I am not steady when walking and slosh the water about. There are openings on the top and you poor it out from the top. These are not enough to put me off what has proven to be a highly effective dehumidifier. I like the timer function on it and it switches off automatically once the tank is full so I never worry that it is going to overflow. So glad I got it.

Great dehumidifier
This is an amazing bit of kit and it came as a surprise to me, just how much moisture there is to extract. This machine copes excellently and at a very reasonable cost to run. This was a very good investment.

Worth the money!
Bought for a cool, damp basement storage room that hadn't been in use for several months . It has already earned it's money, 6 weeks in. The de-humidifier is now ticking over and only runs when it needs to - even at the 40% setting. It was collecting 3 litres every 2 days until this week The room smells much better and I know the items in there are dry and usable. My only minor struggle was with trying to straighten out the drainage tube to use it in a. bucket but that's super minor.

Lovely when it works!
Works really well... until it doesn't. Easy to set up and get started with. Controls are easy to use, and it is a sleek and attractive unit which doesn't look nearly as industrial as other dehumidifiers I've had in the past. As it's a desiccant dehumidifier it works efficiently at lower temperatures than the more common compressor dehumidifiers, which is good as it saves the need for heating the room it's in if the temperatures are low, so making the overall running costs lower. However, I had a couple of problems with it. The first one was that I found it ridiculously difficult to get the water tank back into it after I'd emptied it. It was very easy to remove and empty, but getting that tank back into the little space it was meant to occupy was really tricky! It just wouldn't slide in easily and I often had to lie the whole unit on its back to work out how to get it back in. Once it was in again the dehumidifier worked a treat, but that problem made me very frustrated with it. I wonder if this issue was related to the next, more significant issue I had with this little unit. It leaks. Once the water tank got more than about two thirds full it would leak. I didn't ever manage to work out where it was leaking from, but I'd routinely find water dribbling out of it somehow once it had been running for a while. Which meant the dehumidifier then had to work hard to remove that spilled water from the room, meaning it wasn't running at all efficiently, which was a shame. If you buy one of these then it might well be that yours doesn't leak. In which case it's probably a fabulous little dehumidifier. When mine was working properly it extracted a huge amount of water from the air, completely filling the tank (while also leaking onto the floor!) in less than twelve hours. If I'd decided to keep this dehumidifier I'd have definitely plumbed in the continuous drain hose, but as it is, I'm going to have to send it back because the leak makes it unfit for purpose.
