Looks Good and Feels Good
The LaMetric WiFi Clock is easily one of the most impressive smart displays I’ve ever owned. It’s far more than just a clock — it’s a customizable information hub that looks amazing on a desk, shelf, or nightstand. Setup was simple and intuitive. Within minutes, I had it displaying time, weather, notifications, and even my Spotify track info. The pixel-style display is bright, crisp, and easy to read from anywhere in the room, and the animations give it a ton of personality. You can customize nearly everything — from clock faces to app integrations — and it updates instantly through WiFi. Performance has been flawless. The connection is rock solid, the controls are responsive, and it’s surprisingly energy-efficient. I love using it for quick info at a glance — seeing my emails, calendar reminders, or even real-time subscriber counts without needing to grab my phone. Build quality is excellent too — solid, well-finished, and clearly made to last. It feels like a premium product in every sense. If you like smart home tech that’s both useful and visually unique, the LaMetric is a standout piece. It’s one of those rare gadgets that’s as practical as it is fun to use. Highly recommended — stylish, reliable, and genuinely smart.

Awesome features but pixels die :(
Love it, so many fun apps & customizations you can do but after a few years the pixels in the screen started dying and Lametric won't replace it. It's also pretty pricey, $200 is a lot for this little thing. If they made it cheaper and a better build quality it would be absolutely perfect!

Much more than just a table clock.
First of all let me just tell you that I am almost 50 years old chap. For long time I have been laughing at those Bluetooth speakers for being dull and pretty much useless when you have a table radio or personal stereo. On the other hand I had my table clock that was just boring cheap knock off like most of gadgets today that was simply ugly and boring. Then I saw this product reviewed by Techmoan on YouTube and this was absolute smash hit. I immediately ordered it from Amazon and got it delivered next day for free. Sure some of you say that i is expensive, but you are getting exactly what you paid for. Think about it and all the features that this little thing has built-in that you can benefit if this one is right for you. First of all it obviously is a clock timer and stopwatch when you need it. Second it plays the radio with a decent quality sufficient enough while listening at work or at home during morning rush before getting off to work when you don't expect much from the sound when listening news, weather and music while having a breakfast. Third and neatest addition is that this device can communicate to multiple smart home devices that I have installed ay home like Belkin WeMo switches Philips Hue Lights and it can even pull room temperature from my Nest thermostat and display it on the front of the clock. This makes this little table clock a real treat. Build quality is reflecting the price, very good quality solid with a rubberized surface it gives a good feeling when holding it or operating it. I'm very glad it does not require batteries just like my old table clock because these always run out when you need to clock most. The Wi-Fi connectivity works great so the clock, the weather, the traffic, all is up to date whenever I need it. There are multiple apps available for this clock to add with more additional features and more apps are being developed as I write this to give you even more benefits from having this little device on your desk, countertop or table. I truly recommend this product to everyone it's a money well spent and you won't regret it. But if you do you can always change your mind and return it to Amazon they accept returns. And thanks for Techmoan by the way for your in-depth review and test ride.

TL;DR: Great IOT clock despite the price, buy it.
I'll start by saying that I've tried many IOT (internet of things) products and they have for the most part, been unmitigated disasters. The Ring Doorbell and Ecobee smart thermostat were both absolute garbage. The first generation August Smart lock falls into this category too, although I've heard that they have actually attempted to improve things in more current hardware but I am unwilling to try again and give them more money. Enter Lametric. I was given one as a gift for my desk in my home office. Setup was easy and fast. I have to say I kind of fell in love with it during the set up process. There are some neat little app things that work on the Lametric that make it both useful and personal. As an example, My clock displays the American flag (you can pick from a ton of images if you'd rather..) then I have weather, radio, news, and the last thing is an utterly useless but whimsical "Why not Zoidberg? app thing that has no use but is a lot of fun. In short, yes the price is high, but it frequently goes on sale and it's a quality product. I haven't had a single issue and even bought another one to have in my bedroom as my night clock/alarm. You won't be disappointed.

UPDATE: Unit failed after less than 2 years. Poor build quality.
UPDATE 9/2018 - My LaMetric Time is dead and there's nothing I can do about it. After just less than 2 years with this product it started to constantly reboot. I attempted to isolate the issue by changing the power brick, USB cord, and updating the firmware. Nothing helped. Since I am somewhat handy with electronics I pulled the unit apart and to my surprise pieces of the PCB components started to fall out. It was clear that something had come desoldered or fried on the PCB board itself. I was disappointed with the internal build quality and soldering job I saw and it pretty much confirms the reason for failure - poor internal build quality and construction. Having seen what I've seen and know now I cannot recommend this product. In a last-ditch effort I contacted support who took almost 2 weeks to get back to me. Once they did they said since my unit was out of its one year warrantee, there was nothing they could do but offer me a discount on another unit. To be clear as to why I'm giving this 2 stars now. This thing IS NOT CHEAP. As a matter of fact for what it does it's very expensive. I thought the high price was just because I was an early adopter, but it has not come down. For this price the internal build quality and QC from the factory needs to be much higher. It is a cool and unique product, but honestly from everything I've seen and know about this unit I would value it at around $35-50 USD. I'm sad to see it go, as I really enjoyed the unit while it worked, but I will definitely not be spending another $200 to replace it after less than 2 years. ---Original Review--- Finally someone released the desk clock I've been waiting for. For years I've searched around for a smart home style clock that would not only keep time, but allow me to customize what time zones I want to see, run timers, add apps, etc. In my opinion, LaMetic really hit this one on the head. Now full disclosure I already have a lot of WiFi connected devices in my home such as Philips Hue lights and the Netatmo weather station. Having these kinds of products will greatly increase your enjoyment of this device as it increases the versatility of things you can do. I think the best way to describe how useful this gadget is, is to describe how I'm currently using it. So, as of right now I have the local time displayed for about 30 seconds. I also have a little animated Christmas tree (this the season) that displays on the left hand side of the time. After about 30 seconds the time sweeps away to reveal the date and day of the week. After that data from my Netatmo station is displayed, the order is indoor temp, indoor CO2 levels, indoor sound level in DB, outdoor temp, and outdoor humidity. Next it sweeps away to reveal news headlines, and finally, a countdown to Christmas. Now for the really cool part - I have the LaMetric synced to multiple Twitter accounts such as CNN Breaking News, local area news, NWS weather alerts and a few others. These are set up not to constantly display, but to play a little alert sound, and scroll across the screen as they are posted. I can't emphasize how cool this is to me. I can be sitting there watching TV, hear a bunch of sirens out the window, and moments later see the news scrolling across the LaMetric from my local Twitter news feed. It is very cool. On top of all this, nearly all facets of these settings are customizable, so you can adjust how long you want things to be seen, how loud the alert tone is and what kind of tone to play, etc. LaMetric did a very good job with designing these tools and it really shows. I've also noticed LaMetric releases a lot of firmware updates (sometimes 2 per week), so they are very active with addressing user needs and bugs. Impressive. Aesthetically this thing looks great. The LED's are soft and not too harsh so it can be displayed next to a TV or computer monitor and not be too distracting. The sounds and volume for alerts are fully customizable and can be muted if you don't want the audible alert. The little icons on the left hand side really add a fun touch to the information it displays. I can't comment on the Bluetooth speakers as I use this in a room with a HiFi stereo so have no need for them. Overall product build is solid and feels nice with the exterior coated in a soft-touch rubber/plastic. Over all I am really happy with this thing. Sure it's a bit pricey, but after a few weeks with it that sting goes away and you're left with a really cool gadget. My only recommendation is for LaMetric to implement a way to mute the alert sounds during different times of the day, such as 'mute alerts from 11PM - 8AM. I like the alerts when I'm up, but not so much when I'm trying to sleep. Other than that, home run LaMetric. Awesome product.

It's a good clock. But not for average home use
Ive had this clock for over a year, so I figured now would be a good time to leave this review. Upon visiting this page again to type this review, I noticed that there are more options for the clock that were not there before, most of the options consist of the clock, with other hardware for streaming and creating videos. That's all well and good, but for people looking to use this clock for everyday home or business use, they will just see this product as nothing more than a tool for streamers and content creators to use. Its also heavily marketed as such, with apps for the clock showing Youtube Subscriber count, Twitch follower count, Instagram follower count etc. I still picked it up however, because i thought it was cool, and its features justified the purchase even if I intended to use it as an everyday clock. First, the clock itself. Its bright and can be easily read, you can also have a picture or icon next to the time if you so wished. You can also add the date or weather to the side of the clock as well. On certain days, the icon will match to the corresponding day. A christmas tree for christmas day, Fireworks on new years day etc. The date which is the next thing the clock switches to gives you the month, day and year, and if its a holiday, it will tell you by scrolling by. Most apps do this if the title of whatever is being presented on the clock is long, it will scroll by. You can set the scroll speed to slow, medium, or fast if you wish to read it or not. There is also an option for a "Typewriter" mode that drops letters slowly from the top. You can change these settings within the LaMetric app. Next, the weather. You'll have to install it onto the clock via the LaMetric app store. (Im not sure if this changed, when I first got the clock its what I had to do. This might have changed when they gave you the option to add the weather to the clock screen) When you find LaMetrics weather app and set it up. It gives you the current conditions starting with the current weather as an animated icon with the current temperature. It will then scroll to the current wind speed, current humidity, current barometric pressure, and current visibility (as of writing this review, its currently not functioning, as its always stuck on 0 mi. used to be 9 mi for clear visibility, this is probably due to a weather API update on the providers side.) it will not give you todays weather forecast unless you press the top of your lametric. if you press it again, you can also get tomorrows weather forecast. The data the clock uses to display the weather is called OpenWeatherMap, which is based in Europe. If you are an American reading this review, it can get pretty inaccurate, such as the clock reporting Rain when theres not a single cloud in the sky. For anyone in the EU, it should serve you well. The last feature I used heavily on this clock is the radio function. The clock has three different options. The traditional Radio, Spotify (requires setup and linking with your Spotify account) and streaming. If you want to play music, use Spotify. The radio and streaming function are not reliable or good. Firstly, to use the Radio, you have to go in the app and find a local radio station. But good luck if you can get any to work. I only ever got two radio stations to work within my local area. one of them had really poor quality, the other would occasionally just cut off and stop. After a while, it just stopped playing any radio station i put into it, local, far. didnt matter. It just doesn't play the radio anymore. Streaming also just doesn't work. You can put in the link for the clock and app to stream, but it doesn't do anything. Leaving the only reliable way to get music to play on your clock is Spotify. But even then, it might randomly stop. its very rare however. The sound quality is pretty good though. Everything else the clock can provide to you must be downloaded via the LaMetric appstore. Want to use it for streaming? You have to download the necessary apps. Want it for traditional home use? Download and find the apps you want. While this isn't really a big problem, finding the right apps can be annoying, as there are a lot of apps on the LaMetric app store that just don't work or do anything of use. And if you are gonna use it for just home use, then you should have an Amazon Alexa or any other compatible smart home device to sync to it. But at that point, why not just get an Echo Spot or Dot 3rd gen and just use that for everyday use, its already way cheaper and more effective. Yeah, the price is a bit outrageous. Its evident given the new options that this clock is more intended for streaming now than it is for everyday use. If your looking for a clock for your home or bedroom, you should go with something cheaper and more practical. If your looking for a smart clock, go with an Alexa. UPDATE May 2nd 2021: Revisiting this page, it seems like the other options geared toward streaming and content creation seem to have disappeared entirely. And now only has an option for... a box cutter for $10 more? Honestly, if you are going to go for a smart clock, don't get this one. an Amazon Echo Show 5 or 8 will do the job well enough and definitely better. Its also much cheaper. I still do like this clock, despite me not using it since this review in favor for an Echo Show 5. The price is still ridiculous tho.

Absolute MUST have for creators!!!
This is an absolute MUST-HAVE addition to ANY content creator’s studio/office!!! I was easily—VERY easily—able to add all of my social accounts to the apps on the Lametric marketplace, and am incredibly impressed by the simplicity of its functions. I cannot WAIT to feature the TIME in the background of my livestreams, and would HIGHLY recommend everyone pick one of these up!!! 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dope gadget for a content creator
This is a Retro Pixel Art Bluetooth Speaker with Social Media Counter. In the app you can choose from displaying things like the clock, the weather and your social media following. Cons: Bluetooth speaker is not good! Social counters sometimes freezes and the device need to be reset. Or sometimes one of my social media counters needs to be reset... We we even need to mention price! Pros: a niche device (one of its kind) I like the auto dimming feature depending on the ambient light in the room. ICONIC in your desk setup if you're a serious content creator this is honestly a MUST HAVE! I do feel motivated to create by checking our my numbers right in front of me at my desk. I Would buy this again for sure due to the joy of seeing my following at my desk.
