IS THIS WORTH 229? I SAW EVERY YOUTUBER HAS IT…
3 year update! I paid $229 and I still know it was worth every penny. If you need a great sprayer 165$ is a steal. If you’re gonna do serious spraying it’s worth it. I would buy another if mine went. Listen forgetting to charge battery is laziness! You can’t blame company for that! Only issue I had is if spraying to bifen IT to rich (more then 1.5 oz per gallon) could jam it up. Fresh water through lines and I was ready to spray 1 year update: this sprayer is awesome. Spraying pesticides, pre emergent, weed (no round up or non selective.) the sprayer already paid itself off. It’s awesome and fun. If your looking at this you know your stuff and probably deserve this for all the DYI stuff you do! 🤘🏻 Well that definitely depends. If you take care of your own lawn and pesticides then I would say yes. If you plan on spraying only round up or glyphosate on a small area, then no. FYI I would never put either of those in my 105ex ever. Use pumps for that because you don’t wanna cross contamination. I’ve used this once for a pesticide application and it basically paid it self off. I also will be using it for tenacity, fertilizers, and micro nutrients. I hesitated for to long purchasing this because the price. My thinking…well I can just use my 2 gallon dewalt which is a good sprayer and it was like 35$. Well you can’t compare them. It’s like comparing a Volkswagen Bettle to a Lamborghini. They serve very different purposes. The 105ex is going to give a perfectly even PSI application while the pump just can’t do that. Additionally, the 105 is superiorly engineered and a overall better experience. Will it last? That is always a gamble but with tank cleaner and maintenance; I’m convinced it will. If you leave chemicals in it overnight and knock it around well maybe not. I know you saw it on YouTube on every lawn channel and thought well if they use it… and your thinking well I have a pump sprayer and that works. Believe me. Not like this thing…. Buy it if you can afford it. Btw go for the 4 gallon over the 2 gallon. You’ll be sorry you didn’t spend extra money and use the bed of pickup or stair to put it on when full…

Powerful & Long Battery LIfe
This is based on assembly and the first use. Out of the box, the pack is easy to assemble. The only issue I had is the diagram for adding the lithium grease is tiny and not very specific as to where they expect you to add the lubricant. Also, there was some water in the pack due to testing so note that you may get some water dripping out of the handle. There is a small orange cap inside the tank at the very bottom of the tank. Make sure you remove this cap and replace it with they syphon screen tube! The instructions leave this step to the very end and I almost did not replace the cap. I think that step should have been near the front. I'm still working on adjusting the straps for the best fit. I'm not a small dude so it's going to take a while to get my custom fit. Even so, the first spray experience was great. No leaks. The battery did not quit and remained strong throughout my entire spray, Nice! I used an entire 4 gallon tank to apply organic compounds to my lawn and garden. Having not to pump the tank to get pressure is a godsend. I used the brass nozzle that came with the pack and I felt the stream adjustments were perfect. No need to swap out for a different spray nozzle head. I think having some of the connections built with metal parts makes this pack appear more durable and professional. Hopefully this will last a long time. I wanted a backpack sprayer that would not quit on me, that had as many metal connections as possible, and that would feel good to use. Based upon the assembly and my first use, I am happy. If it all goes south, I will definitely comment.

Charger not working right out of the box!
I received this sprayer and charger with battery today. Right out of the box the charger came on for about 30 minutes then went out. Got it back on and again it went out. I removed the battery from the charger and got the blinking red light indicating ERROR. I contacted Amazon after sending Sprayers Plus an email about this problem. It’s Saturday night, August 29th 2020...no response from the seller Sprayers Plus until days later. Amazon Chat help advised I would be receiving a replacement. I will be contacted by UPS soon for a return pickup. I’m disappointed big time that out of the box the charger was faulty. I wanted to use the sprayer tomorrow but that’s not happening. I will give an update on the item replacement and eventually a review on the 105Ex back pack sprayer. It’s expensive and that entire sprayer and charging components should work and give years of service. We shall see. UPDATE: Sprayers Plus DID NOT help me. Amazon did. I notified Sprayers Plus about the out of the box faulty charger. Once again they wanted me to make a 20 second video of the charger plugged in with battery. This is always their MO with any of their sprayer complaints. 3 years ago I ordered the SP 2 gal YT25E battery sprayer. After about a year it would turn off intermittently during use. I contacted SP ...they requested the video and I refused. Not difficult to figure out what the blinking charging lights mean or if it’s red or green. The sprayer comes with information reference the charger light colors and what they mean. The SP YT25E suffers from a faulty pump motor at the bottom of the can. The problem is electrical inside not the charger or battery. SP sent me another charger and battery but that did not fix the problem. Out of warranty after a year now I’m stuck with a sprayer that does not work anymore...it’s stop working period! So...I decided to give the 105Ex a try. Out of the box the charger didn’t work. I contacted SP and what ya think they wanted? Yep...a 20 second video of the charger and battery showing what color the light is and it’s flashes if any so their “Tech” can analyze the problem. It’s an insult to anyone’s intelligence to request this..but time and time again SP does just that. Needless to say I didn’t waste my time with that so I contacted Amazon Chat and complained. I was sent a UPS return label for pickup and a few days later I received a complete 105Ex sprayer with charger and battery. This time the charger actually worked! I’ve used the 105 back pack 4 times now with no issues. So far I’ve no complaints but again time will tell. I mainly spray in the warmer months so the sprayer won’t get used much in the winter. I take care of my tools and equipment. Hopefully the 105 will last longer than the YT25E sprayer. Sprayer Plus sprayers must be put together in China! Where are they made sprayers plus? You boast about warranty of 1 year from manufacture defects but you put buyers thru unnecessary frustration when we complain causing an even longer delay with most times replacing a charger or battery...not the sprayer! 0 stars to sprayers plus! 3 stars for quality of the actual 105. Amazon gets 4 stars for responding to my complaint and making things right from the git go. They sent me another sprayer with charger and battery. I returned the first order and flagged the charger as defective. I guess it’s next to impossible to make a battery powered sprayer for commercial and residential use that actually works and is dependable for many years. If the 105 fails me I will go back to a manually powered sprayer, preferably one made in the USA!

I used the 105Ex for the first time this morning to spray the apple trees in my moms backyard. I found it easy to load and use a lot easier than trying to calculate the mix rate for the chemical! I used the brass adjustable spray head and it allowed me to adjust from a must to a stream but I will look into a different spray head. I mixed up two gallons turned the unit on and put the 105 on my back. It was a comfortable fit and I hardly noticed the weight. It was great that I didn’t have to climb up and down the ladder to pump up the pressure in the tank like I did with the hand pump model! I did notice that I went through the 2 gallons faster than the hand pump but I put that down to the brass spray head. I am very pleased with this unit and I’m looking forward to using it in a week to apply lime Sulphur to the apple tree. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking to make their spray program easier.

As a 5’2”, 66 years old female, I not only can’t fault the construction, it gets top marks from me. Balanced, with well fitting padded straps, I was able to complete a job that took 4 hours non-stop using full reservoirs. Of course, I wasn’t fresh as a Daisy afterwards, but this sprayer enabled me to complete the job. Filling is so easy due to the wide screw lid and measurement scale on the reservoir, and the frame allowed me to sit it on a table whilst filling, then I could simply step backwards into the harness and walk away. This is a good buy, I highly recommend it.

Wish I had known about this years ago as I struggled with a conventional knapsack which dribbled here then gushed there, no consistency when spraying This battery operated one takes all the hard work away and I can easily spray my large garden on one charge Thoroughly recommend this to all

Pump leaked from the first time I turned it on. For a product that seems to be as well designed as this one is, it baffles me that the company making it would skimp out on the single most important component: the pump. After mine started leaking from the pump body the very first time I tried it (yes I tightness the hose clamps down) I did some research online and it seems that these pumps have a very high failure rate and do poorly with thicker materials. Mind you I only ever ran water through my unit. I really tried to like this unit and this company. I even debated returning my unit and buying another of the same. However, after the widespread reports of other pumps failing, I decided to get a Flowzone instead that costs nearly the same. It just doesn't make sense to spend this much on a product and have it fail so frequently. Really shameful that the company decided to cut corners on this critical component.
