What an iPhone should be
After many years of iPhone Pros, and realizing that while I am a tech nerd (or, rather just a nerd altogether), I really wasn’t using all the “Pro” features I kept paying for. Plus, I haven’t really loved the look or the feel of the last few generations of iPhone Pros. They’re a bit bulky, not as well balanced as previous versions and not quite as nice looking either. So, I was excited to switch from my 16 Pro and try the Air. My reason for the change was that my favorite iPhone ever was the iPhone 11 Pro. I loved how that phone felt I my hand without any case on it. It was perfectly balanced, had the perfect weight to feel very high quality and well built but not too heavy to be cumbersome to handle and carry. It also was just the right size and just felt right, and to me at least, exactly like what such an expensive device should feel like. Kind of jewel like in a way. I kept that phone for four years and never felt the need to upgrade until the battery had degraded to the point it would deplete pretty quickly relative to when new. I’ve had my new Air for about a week now and I love it. It again feels perfect in hand, well balanced, and jewel like for a phone. It feels kinda special being so thin. And it is THIN! Especially compared to my 16 Pro. The 16 Pro wasn’t a bad phone, I just never loved it and didn’t use many of it’s pro features. So far the Air has functioned just as well as the 16 Pro in my use. The battery in the Air has actually lasted a bit longer but it’s also a year plus newer. It’s as fast as the 16 pro and I haven’t skipped a beat. I really like the one camera lens look better than the three lens look of the pro, too. So far I’m loving this phone. The speaker sounds as good to me as the 16 pro’s dual speakers ever did without doing back to back listening. So far I’m really enjoying the Air and it’s everything I hoped it would be (so far).
