I used to use another brand of acetone free remover that you could buy in my local supermarket but after running out I decided to buy this because its decently priced at £3. I wouldn't normally be writing a review for something as standard as nail varnish remover but this product has become essential in my nail kit. I do my own nails so I need all the help I can get and only use products I can consistently rely on. As soon as I began to use the remover I noticed the improvement in quality compared to the solution I normally use. This smell of the solution is nowhere near as potent as the normal stuff; it's actually tolerable and doesn't leave the room smelling of chemicals for hours. It has a vague coconut smell that makes it much more pleasent. The solution removed top coat, 2 layers of polish & base coat with little effort. It normally takes me longer but this reduced the amount of time it took to remove all the layers so I was very happy with that. I also noticed that my nails didn't feel as dry from the Cutex removing solution as they usually do after removing nail polish with the other stuff. Over all I would highly recommend. Denatured alcohol is basically just pure alcohol that has toxic additives to stop people from trying to ingest it, and it’s normally used as a cleaning product, or for industrial purposes. Denatured alcohol is really bad for you, and can’t be used on skin really, so acetone is very similar in strength but naturally occurring and non toxic. Denatured alcohol goes into antifreeze, while acetone is used to clean animals after oil spills. As far as I know, acetone is one of the most effective ways to remove gel/dip powder nails, and probably the easiest to use at home. **Q: would not take marks off rubber dolls face even** A: I use Cutex Nourishing Nail Polish Remover in a blue bottle, which is not quite he same as that shown, but an excellent product with a pleasant perfume which I can recommend. **Q: Can you use this to remove acrylic nails?** A: It didn’t work for me. You need pure acetone to remove acrylics.
