So prime works fine... so what about this cheap unit?Packaging adequate, instructions sheet better than some... but not great, could be a problem if you haven't done this sort of thing before. Especially for the pairing part. You DO need an app that can read the data stream from the unit. Just pairing is not going to work. I found the Strava website support guides handy.Usual fiddling about to make sure of secure fitting of magnet on crank, sensors on the rear forks and tweaking to get readings. Loaded Wahoo app on the phone and waved a magnet at the sensors to turn it on. The sensor unit paired pdq. Initial tests indicated that it worked fine.Used Wahoo to log a short ride. Phone tucked in seat post bag as usual. All details (gps from phone, cadence from sensor) recorded successfully and the whole lot pushes across to Strava at the end of the ride with no bother. Ideally Strava would offer native device support inside their app, but that's not a quibble with this sensor.Never used one of these before, so time will tell as to how accurate and useful it turns out to be. I think it'll be more handy with the Bryton unit on the handlebars to keep my peddling in rhythm, but it works fine with by budget phone. Surprisingly painless experience for the price. Will update regarding pairing with the Bryton and how it survives the real world over the next few weeks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for my turbo trainer *by L***S on 22 October 2017* Bought this on a recommendation of a friend. I'm training for #LEJOG next year and needed to monitor my training on my turbo trainer. Once I worked out the angles the magnets and sensors needed to be at for it to register. It set up straight away with an app on my phone and registers every workout. Telling me exactly what I need to know to carry on with my training. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cheap and cheerful - and seems to work just fine! *by K***N on 28 January 2018* Have been looking for some time for a cheap BTLE speed and cadence sensor. They are not complex bits of kit, after all, and I've had an expensive Wahoo one let me down (which, to their credit, they replaced, but it was a nuisance). This one is cheap and cheerful and seems to do the job nicely. Can't comment on weatherproofing yet and the supplied cable ties were brittle (a couple snapped before they'd even cinched up!) hence the mark down, but there's a good chance we will have more of these for other bikes, to save the hassle of moving sensors around.Note for Strava users, on iPhone at least - it identifies as a cadence sensor only (not a S&C combined), in their app. Make sure you have the right sensor 'switch' turned on.
