Satisfied customer, I am a heavy truck tech and this meter meets all my high standards.

I use a multimeter every day for work (autotech installer at BestBuy). So I wanted something decent. I got this and a Fluke 325 amp clamp around the same time, and this ESI is actually pretty great. It's jam packed with features, and the autoranging capabilities is pretty nice. It's not a true RMS like my Fluke, but for what it is it's fantastic. This is the meter I keep in the shop when I'm not there. I don't worry about anyone stealing it, and it's always there for when I go to work, whereas with my Fluke I always am paranoid about leaving it at my work and someone stealing it since I don't have a chest that locks up. At the end of the day, if I'm not gonna be using my Fluke, this is the meter I would rather use.

I just recieve my multimeter. Its quite usefull for everything i need. The only problem comes, if you are an amateur, the instructions are just not to useful. The multimeter is excelent, i use it testing my cars rpms, check resistance, continuity of ground cables and many more. For the price its just what I needed. Glad to find it

I don't write one-star reviews lightly, but this item deserves it. The package is attractive and the case is handy, but ultimately what distinguishes this meter from any other multimeter are the automotive functions, such as the RPM. Now, before anyone starts asking, yes, I did try to change clamp orientation, use different sensitivity settings, change mode from 2 stroke to 4 stroke, and changed setting from RPM to RPMx10. Moving the clamp closer to the spark plug and rotating it around the spark plug wire also didn't make any difference. In short, NOTHING worked, period, the reading would invariably revert to zero without ever displaying anything close to actual RPM. I also noted a kink in the inductive clamp cable (possible signal break?) and the fact that the common (black) connector was an awful tight fit in the multimeter. Both are possible clues to poor quality control, but are not necessarily the root cause of the problem. In the end I had to return it, with much disappointment. The other functions did work, although I couldn't comment on accuracy.

The good: does everything I need The bad: quality issues. Loved the first one I received until Ampmeter stopped working. Checked the fuses and they were fine. Return was fast an easy, so I decided to give them another shot. Second one arrived today and is an obvious referb. Battery already installed - and dead. Unit was set to DC Volts and not turned off before packaging. Now I need to quickly test all functions to see if this one needs to be returned also.
