The most difficult part about setting this up was leveling the ground. The pool instructions were very clear and simple. We got this for our young children and it was perfect for them and large enough for us to get in and cool off as well. Our first filter was very weak and broke after two weeks of use, unintentionally turning out pool into a mosquito breeding ground—- but I called their customer service and they sent me a new one which works way better. Of course we had to drain and clean the pool out, but my kids love it, so, worth it. And amazing price!

I was using a really large tarp to cover my pool. Although the tarp kept debris from going into the pool. It was an enconvience. I decided to go with the Intex pool cover because the price was reasonable and it's the same manufacturer as my pool. I assumed the chances of the cover fitting would be greater. I'm very pleased I purchased this cover. It fits my 12x30 above ground pool perfectly! It looks sturdy enough to withstand winds and rips. And it was easy to install. It comes with tie cords for a better fit.

We have the 12ft x 30in metal frame above ground pool. This cover has worked relatively well for us. It is not super tight, as shown in the picture, but can be tightened using the drawstrings on it. My husband and I work together to make the strings tighter. It has only blown off once for us, but we had pretty bad winds that night. There are some holes on the top to allow some air flow and to prevent rain water from pooling on top, which haven't let in much debris for us. We had heavy rains this week and still had some water pooled on top, but that is to be expected with an outdoor pool and heavy rains. My only complaint- when the water/debris was pooled on top, we tried to take the cover off from one end to the other to prevent the debris (leaves) from going into the pool. Unfortunately there was too much water on top and the cover fell into the pool. The first time we took it off, we were afraid it turned our pool into a sauna, but it surprisingly kept it cool through a week straight of 100+ degree weather. My only suggestion is to hang it over something (we use the swing set) to let it dry a little before storing it while using the pool. Otherwise it will smell funny. We are very pleased with this purchase. It has done well for us. I would definitely recommend this.

Fit good

You pay $16 for a cover, you get what you pay for. It does it's job, but I wish I had realized the issues before purchasing. We have the 12ft x 30in Intex metal frame pool. I thought it'd have been more fitted to cover the pool as depicted, but instead it comes with two useless strings that you are supposed to use as a drawstring to secure it. Because I can't tighten the cover, it just sort of sits on top. I've seen some reviewers using clamps and/or Velcro which we may try to keep it secure. We haven't had any strong winds so I can't say if it'll stay put or not. It isn't easy to put on by yourself, but it can be done. I do like that it has holes in the top to help with airflow and rain water drainage. It helps to keep the tree debris out of the pool, but because the plastic isn't sturdy, the debris has all fallen to the center. It's now weighted down and sinking which makes it difficult to get the cover off (by oneself) without dumping it all in the pool on accident. Again, you get what you pay for. I think we might actually consider some type of hard cover for ours if they make them.

A few months ago, I noticed my old cover looking like it needed replacing, so I ordered a new one, at the same price, but from a different company. A few days ago, I changed out the covers, laying out the new one to warm up and stretch out. It still comes nowhere close to reaching over the edges, so when I pull one side, it comes off the other. Do you have any clue how annoying/frustrating/infuriating it is to play a stupid game of tug of war with yourself where you are walking back and forth, pulling as lightly as possible, and the piece of human excrement just keeps pulling off the other side? So I decided to clip it to the vinyl, which makes it about a foot less diameter, plus the cover doesn’t have to go over any edges, so it should reach easily, right? No it doesn’t. In fact, I go back out and the pool cover now has 8 holes ripped in each of those spots. Not only is the cover not able to reach the edge of the pool, but the quality sucks so bad, it tears, even with the use of wide rubber clips. My old one has clips in it from where I attached the straps for the cover reel, and it still never ripped, despite hundreds of times being pulled on as it reeled in and out. Don’t buy this piece of trash. I’m so mad I didn’t try it out sooner so i could return it. I might spend the postage to send it back anyways. I miss the time where people actually took pride in their product and didn’t use lies, blatantly inaccurate photos, and amazon to cheat people out of their hard earned money. I thought, as a middle man, it was amazon’s job to ensure the customers weren’t getting scammed.
