I help run a small community radio station. You would not believe the number of guitarists who turn up to perform on-air and don't have a plectrum with them. I keep a bunch in my desk drawer, but I don't have anything nice to keep them in. Well, I didn't have... until I got this. A lovely wooden box with a nice dark stain to it - it looks really nice. There's a magnet in the lid to keep it closed and the hinges are very solid and look to be good quality. The amount of picks it holds will vary depending on thickness, but I would say it holds several. I keep a variety of thicknesses, because you never know what someone will ask for. They fit nice and snugly, but not so tight as to make taking them out a hassle. I think it would make a nice gift for the guitar or bass player in your life. It's just a nice box and relatively unusual (I've never seen one before). And it feels like pretty good value for money, I have to say. Very easy to recommend.

This is an attractive guitar pick holder. It is made from an attractive wood which is light but feels nice quality. Hinged with an OK feeling hinge quality and a magnetic closure. The listing says it holds 5 picks. But shows a picture of wooden picks. I was able to fit in 6 plastic picks and it took up less than half the available room. With plastic picks you would probably get 12 in. The gap is large enough for all my picks except a shark fin one which is more because of the shape of these picks. I think it is great value given the wood and quality.
