CASIO F91W-1 Casual Sport Watch

Just received my Casio F91W-1 and I absolutely love it. Lightweight, super comfortable, and packed with useful features like alarm, stopwatch, backlight, and calendar. The battery lasts up to 7 years (according to the watch tag) and the timekeeping is incredibly accurate. It may be simple, but that’s the charm. It’s iconic, reliable, and extremely affordable, every watch collector should have one in their collection. A true classic that never goes out of style. Highly recommended!

Several months ago,I picked up the Casio A158wa-1jf for just under $20 dollars, and was pleasantly surprised at the stylish yet functional watch I’d received. Unfortunately, I lost it, so after perusing Amazon I decided to go for the classic F91W-1. It’s hard to get excited about a $15 dollar watch, but this watch delivers in too many ways not to get excited about it. First and foremost, it keeps good time and is easy to read. The watch is easy and intuitive to set (I just glanced at the manual), and the functions that it comes equipped with do their job well. My only complaint would be that the strap could use a little extra length. I have an 8 inch wrist, so a little extra real estate would be nice. The lume function also isn’t phenomenal, but it does the job on a dark night. In terms of water resistance (something that was fairly important to me) this watch appears impervious to any normal person’s needs. Washing hands, showering, or getting caught in rain pose no issue to the watch. I’ve also jumped off of a 33 foot bridge while wearing this watch, which would expose it to all kinds of pressures and stresses it’s not designed to take. The watch was fine. No fog under the dial or any apparent damage. If you’re looking for a watch that is under $20, does its job well, and packs respectable water resistance, id recommend this watch.

Very good watch

My father used to have this watch when i was around 4 (i am now 19) and it broke down on him when I was 15 so he had a a long time with it. albeit he did need to change the battery ONCE. Well like father like son I now bought this watch and all I can say is it does its job! ill do some quick pros and cons for you people wondering wether its worth the purchase. Pros: -LOW PRICE. I bought it for 8 dollars. CHEAP! -functional. It does exactly what it advertises no false advertisement here. -Skinny. Its not any where NEAR as bulky as the popular G-Shock watches that many people here in L.A have been wearing I like that. -Adjustable. The strap can be adjusted for all wrist sizes . -Water resistant. You can pretty much go swimming with this thing and not worry about about anything happening to it. so long as you are above the recommended amount. and you don't need to worry about taking it odd when you wash your hands because it won't affect it either. -light button. has a left shoulder button to see the time at night. Cons: -light. Now i know i put this as a pro but at the same time its just a chepa little green glowing light you still see the whole screen but i'm sure that could have been EASILY adjusted. -Raised Resin screen. The screen is raised a little so be careful because you can scratch it. - Alarm. The only reason why I put this as a con is because I can't seem to put my watches' alrm clock to sound off ONLY in the mornings. It can get a little annoying when it rings at 6:30 a.m and p.m Thats pretty much all i have to say for the cons prat of this review they aren't much to worry about they are just MINOR things. if you need a simple watch for walking around or for jogging or what have you this is PERFECT, because its cheap and totally functional. I’ve never been a big fan of digital watches but this watch has converted me. I have a size 7.25 in wrist ,which is on the smaller side of average, and I this this watch looks good on me. I do like my watches on the smaller side. I use the watch for the gym and it’s extremely comfortable. The rubber wrist band doesn’t pull my arm hair and doesn’t absorb my sweat. It’s and extremely flexible rubber. The functions on this watch are extremely easy to use. The only negative aspect of the watch is the light. You can still read it easily in the dark but it lights up one half of the watch better than the other half. But for the price I’m really not complaining and I would totally recommend this watch to someone. I’m going to start collecting Casio watches now. 4 stars because it’s nearly perfect.

This is a great watch just like I had years ago. I haven't been wearing a watch for a long time but get tired of digging my phone out of my pocket or purse, especially when I'm out walking or shopping. I'm setting it up now and then going for a walk. The instructions are in extremely fine print and multiple languages. I scanned the English into my computer and enlarged it, saved as a PDF file and put on my phone in case I need to refer to them when I'm out and about. You may need a magnifying glass if you don't have that capability. I ordered it last evening and it came today already! Great job, Amazon! UPDATE: The alarm works well because it beeps and keeps beeping until you turn it off. However, the hourly chime is not so great. The chime is not as loud as the alarm and only goes "beep-beep" once. So if I'm not paying attention, the watch is under a sweater sleeve, or there's other background noise, I miss it. The whole purpose for me was to have an audible reminder every hour so I would get up and walk around, but I miss it more than I catch it.
