Avoid this. Just buy the gift card elsewhere or a physical gift card.
Ordered two cards two days ago. First card required me to jump through all sorts of hoops - amazon flagging as potential fraud, Chase (credit card I was using) flagging as potential fraud. Now, look. At the end of the day, I appreciate the diligence, it's an inconvenience, but one that makes sure we're safe, right? After doing that, the card came 5-10 minutes later. Win! The second card never came. I was told it might take 'up to 24 hours'. So I waited 24 hours and then called Amazon. The person on the phone was not all that helpful but did alert me to an email that was in my spam stating that "We will attempt to call you between 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 11 AM." - of course, they did not reach out to me. After a 15 minute phone call, the person helping me assured me the card would arrive shortly. Of course, it didn't. So now, 13 hours after that first call, I called back. And this time, the employee I was speaking with was overly fixated on me changing my text message notification preferences - how that would help, I have no idea. but she assured me someone from the gift department would be calling me "within a few hours". That's where we're at now. Avoid this like the plague and or buy this from another platform where competent help will be provided in the event something doesn't go right.
