I bought these not for clothing, but for head lamp magnifiers..those things you wear on your head, with magnifying lenses, to allow you to see very small objects. I have several I use to work on electronics, and the headband is about 1.5in wide. Most ordinary coat hooks are not wide enough to hang them properly. These have a nice wide flat area 2in wide. Nice. They are not very tall, so they stay out of the way when they fold up. They are simple, sleek, and work exactly as they are designed to. I plan on spray painting the remaining three white, to better blend into the closet wall. Review: Handy and not unsightly - These are surprisingly sturdy for how compact they are. I put a few by the door for coats and backpacks, and one near my desk for headphones — no wobbling or slipping. Love that they fold flat when not in use, especially in tight spaces. The install was quick, though the included screws aren’t the best — might want your own if you're putting them into drywall. Handy little upgrade for cluttered corners.
