Person of Interest is the sensational conspiracy crime thriller with a unique brand of vigilante justice that’s become one of the world’s most obsessed-about TV series. Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Taraji P. Henson and Kevin Chapman star in a world where technology has the ability to protect us – or to become as corrupt as the power behind it. Review: Perhaps Closer to Reality than we may wish. - The physical discs were/are excellent. The story line is top drawer from the beginning, but when Taraji (Detective Clark) leaves the cast (appears to be unexpectedly), the story seems to struggle to rediscover its footing for nearly a season. But by late season three it is once again on track, albeit with a somewhat different thrust -- morphs into more of a action flick and less human interest. The series seemed pretty sci-fi when first aired, but in todays reality carries a warning -- if one is of the persuasion that AI needs to be monitored closely. Yep, I'll watch it again (in a year or so...) Review: Good - Love the show

Amazing
This show now ranks with The X-Files and Hannibal as one of my 3 all-time favorite shows. All 3 shows offer compelling central characters. Unlike TXF, however, the plot of POI holds together across seasons - it's incredibly tight and well-executed. And, while dark in many respects, POI is ultimately more hopeful than Hannibal could ever have been. My advice if you're starting out with it because of what you've heard about POI over the years: stick with it. It starts out with a heavier emphasis on traditional procedural elements (no doubt because of network pressure) and never loses the mandate to create some standalone eps to fulfill its typical 22-23 episode annual order, and it could seem just mildly interesting at the start. I watched the first season over the span of several months. I watched Seasons 2-5 in about two weeks. Once it gets going, it quickly hits a pace and a level of writing and acting and plotting that makes me feel like it must have existed in an Emmy blind spot because this show should have been cleaning up awards. Don't give up on it if it doesn't grab you from the first half of the first season. It transforms from a pretty interesting procedural that you could watch while folding your laundry into a subversive sci-if masterpiece that requires your full attention. Kudos also to the show for having created two of the most compelling LGBT characters I can recall seeing on the small screen. They are so fully drawn, so intriguing, and have such sizzling chemistry with each other that they've really reset the bar for fully-realized LGBT characters on television as far as I'm concerned. What an accomplishment this show is. Everyone involved with it should be so proud of their work and for their prescient vision of the dangers of a world where privacy is so willingly sacrificed for the perception of greater security. Bravo.

Wow!
I had never heard of this series before, but was looking for something that starred Jim Cavìezel after watching an interview with him on-line. After reading the reviews for this series I decided to try it. All I can say is, wow, wow, wow! I'm so glad I tried it. I am completely enthralled with it. The actors, the story lines, the action. Jim Caviezel conveys more with his eyes than any other actor I've ever seen. I'm glad that I never saw the show before, as I can follow the story in sequence. If anyone is unsure, my advice is to buy it. You won't regret it.

Well done series in the Equalizer tradition!
My wife and I have been really re-enjoying this DVD edition of the TV series. It's a great story that is increasingly timely and relevant in the panopticon world we are living in. Cavezial is a great deadpan actor and his boss and sidekicks have their own backstories which make this series a multi-tiered interest factories of stories and timelines. Perhaps we are simpletons, but we really enjoy seeing good vanquish bad and the right win out over the wrong. So wish real life had more Equalizers like this series presents. It would be good for our society to have the bad guys discover that justice walks the streets, protects the intended or potential victims and delivers swift consequences. Thoroughly enjoyable. Some intriguing cliff-hangers. And lots of episodes so even if you binge-watch, you aren't going to extinguish your stash of episodes too fast. Get it. You'll be glad you did.

Die englische Originalspur ist da und eine französische. Als Untertitel gibt es sehr viele Sprachen. Die Bildqualität ist sehr gut, Ton natürlich auch. Das "DVD" im Titel ist irreführend, ich habe die BR.
