Review: My Free Range Kitty Loves It! - My cat constantly pines for the outdoors, especially with spring approaching. She is great about coming back inside, and I do not mind her using the bathroom outside. She is not much of a hunter either, so the local bird population is safe. It fit my window perfectly. All I had to do was build a small step so she could reach it from inside and get down safely on the other side. She absolutely loves being able to come and go as she pleases. The insert itself feels very sturdy, and the door has a locking feature. I do not really use it, but if you have raccoons in your area, it would probably be helpful at night. As far as heat efficiency goes, I am sure it is not quite as insulating as my double pane windows since there is a thin flap in the middle, but I do not feel any drafts coming through. It seems to seal up really well.

We are so happy with this Cat Door for our window! Installation was incredibly easy and truly tool free, which was a huge plus. It fit perfectly within the adjustable 28"-32" range, and the aluminum frame feels very sturdy and well made. The high transparency glass looks clean and blends in nicely with the window, so it doesn’t look bulky or out of place. I love the 4 secure lock modes. it gives us full control over when our cat can go in and out. The flap swings smoothly, and our cat figured it out almost immediately.
