Price is okay. Durable plastic traps and 4 metal keys. Good size for woodrat/packrat. Looks like a rodent trap, so not like it’s something you would want to feature or show off. Definitely safe since it’s a challenge for 60 some year old women with arthritis to open. Do not know how anyone would get one of these open with a plastic key! To me 5-10 minutes per box just to open one and a break in between for my arthritic hands to recover some. 2 set, 2 to go. Maybe by the end of the day I’ll have all in place. I give these traps 4 stars because they are hard to open. We live in a rural setting on ten acres. Our barn cats keep busy with mice and voles. Decided they needed a bit more help after seeing one woodrat. I happened to be looking out the window as it came towards the front door from our flower garden with a flower stem. I had to look it up to figure out what it was. It was rather cute, for a rat, with its fuzzy tail. It saw me, stopped for a few seconds before running under the house. Crazy thing ran towards my direction to do that instead of running in the opposite direction. I stepped outside and looked under the steps to see just where it went since I thought we had everything pretty well sealed. Scampering under the house it obviously lost its hold on the flower stem, so that was stuck where it had gone under the house. As I was looking, it peaked out, looked at me for a few seconds again before grabbing its treasure and pulling back it under the house and begin munching on it. Definitely do not need woodrat (or a kind of rat) taking up residence with us. These traps will help a done of the two I have already set is placed right where this one went under the house.

That “smell” of death is when you know the traps work! That takes care of my rodent problem! The bait stations are awesome!

Product was fine. (Difficult to open, as others noted so I was expecting that) It’s Effective for rodent/rat/mouse baiting, but unfortunately it’s also large enough for SQUIRRELS to enter and they’re the ones eating all the bait! Would have been nice to know this ahead of time so I wouldn’t have wasted the $$?

Good quality and protection from pets. Double lock. I love the stand up bait rods as horizontal rods allay fall on other products.

These work great. Easy to use and are clean. I don't worry about anything else getting into these as they are very well made and the holders for the bait are made well and in a separate compartment off to the side. Kids can't get into them because you need a special key to access and open the lid. These have a larger opening than a lot of the other traps out there but really I feel they could be bigger as these rats get pretty big. Mice will have no problem at all. It says clear lid, but cant really see the bait through it. You can just look through the hole on either end to check without having to open the lid. I'm using these outside and so far, even with all the rain we've had it is staying dry inside the traps and the bait is holding up well. I haven't found any dead critters but I see evidence in all of the traps that they are nibbling on the bait. Remember to buy bait as it is not supplied. Get the kind that you slip a small rod through as this is what holds the bait inside the trap. Each trap holds two baits. I just bought a 4lb bucket so Im rwady for the long haul. Hopefully this takes care of my problem as I have tried different methods and have still had a problem. These traps should last for a couple of years or so as they seem well made.
