Product description Zigbee Connection Works with HA Review: Zigbee smart water meter with internal remote control valve. - This Zigbee smart water meter with remote controllable shut off valve built in is a very functional and easy to use device, once you get it setup. But the setup was challenging and the poor set of instructions were of little help. The device has a single push button to cycle through all of the various screen displays. Various cryptic parameters in the display are adjustable and there is nothing in the supplied documentation that tells what any of the parameters do. I had a very difficult time finding the exact screen where I could then long press the button to get it into pairing mode. But after many many cycles through the various screens and never finding the expected screen display, I seem to have accidently stumbled across the right one on about the 20th attempt. Then it paired up in the Zigbee gateway within the smart life app. From then on it was simple to look at all of the parameters and settings within the app. Once I found the right screen the connectivity worked great and was fully compatible with the smart life app and the Zigbee gateway that I already had installed in my home. The threaded brass pipe fittings all sealed well with my existing plumbing. The meter comes with special tamper detecting seals in place from the factory. The entire device is sealed with no obvious way to open it to replace the internal battery. I hope that the battery lasts a very long time. I think that operating the valve is the only thing that might shorten the battery life. The meter looks durable and time will tell. If in a few years I find anything unexpected I will update this review. I took away a star because it was so difficult to do the first time setup with the very limited instructions that it comes with. I will include pictures of the device and the various screens that I see within the smart life app once it is setup. I circled in red the Zigbee gateway and the Zigbee meter as both are required to be able to communicate with the device. Review: What are the setting options?
