Otherwise good box *by A***M on December 17, 2025* This review is for “Electrical Junction Box IP65 Dustproof Waterproof ABS Plastic Project Enclosure for Electronics 3.9 x 3.9 x 2.8 inch(100 x 100 x 70 mm)” at $8.99 I got this ip65 junction box in order to install an outlet in a crawl space. I am not 100% certain I need a waterproof box for this application, but I figure better safe than sorry. This box is made of ABS plastic, which wouldn’t be great fully exposed outdoors, but this is fine in a dark and dry crawlspace. I was surprised to discover that the knockouts are made with soft plastic rather than the same rigid material, and as a result they can be trimmed to various sizes. Important to note: the grommets do not seal fully on their own, so you will need to use some sort of sealant to ensure waterproofness if that is your use case. You must drill your own mounting points, which eliminates any extra holes you would need to seal. All in all, a suitable box for my needs.
