I like the iRig Pads midi controller because it is easy to setup. You can setup all the control knobs, slider and pads without using the software. By pressing the "Scene and Fix Velocity" buttons in the top left corner of the unit at the same time, you enter into edit mode and the pads light up and guide you through programming the iRig Pads. The .PDF owners manual clearly explains the editing steps for all functions of the iRig Pads and can be downloaded from the IK Multimedia website. You can also save your setups as "Scenes" and assign a Scene to each of the 16 pads. You can also edit and or erase the scenes very easy as well. The pads have a smooth silicone surface feel with just a little grip and a nice cushion when tapped. Pad sensitivity is very good and can be set for light medium and heavy touch response. There is also a fixed level velocity button for consistent response no matter how hard you tap the pads. The iRig pads also have a 1/4 inch foot pedal jack for a sustain or expression pedal, midi output and power through the micro USB port. The iRig Pads can also be programmed using the editor software that can be downloaded from the IK Multimedia website. Over all I like this pad controller very much. Considering that apple wisely chose to do away with the audio out on the iPhone a DECADE ago, I suppose it makes total sense to sell a product that’s name implies use with “i” devices and also HAS NO AUDIO OUT. Slick move… refund please.

Their customer service is almost non-existent. I've been trying forever to get a replacement cable cause the thing was so cheap it broke within the first week. Was a great product when it worked though.

it was cool but for $50 less Akai MPD218 is so much better.. I had the Irig pads and keyboard for about 6 months traded in for the mpd218 and a m-audio keystaion 49es.. i think IK needs a few more years in the game before they can compete with the big boys.. save your money

Easy set up. And great feeling and very responsive Pads. Obviously i haven't had them for very long so can't tell you about life longevity. But they feel sturdy. And for the price its a real sweet product.

Vraiment très solide, marche super bien, le seul hic pour moi vient du fait que a ce jour, iMPC pro sur iPad ne permet d'utiliser le slider avec un boîtier externe... C bien dommage car ce produit permettrait de le faire

Purchased this Pad with my DJ setup, to run on my MacBook pro, plug and play compatibility. Works with Garage Band and other programs, no issues at all out of the box. I have not spent a lot of time working with this, but I was able to program the drum pads to also have functionality in Serato DJ. Reasonably priced for it's functionality. I would recommend this to any traveling DJs, small and compact can easily fit in a backpack or laptop bag.

Il Controller Midi è ben fatto e curato nei dettagli, non è sicuramente un prodotto cinese di fascia bassa (anche se costruito sempre in oriente) con potenziometri dal movimento fluido e controllato e i tastoni che si illuminano di diversi colori a seconda della forza usata per batterli. Essendo un controller Midi non ha nessun tipo di suono preimpostato, non basta collegarlo al pc (o Mac) e battere sui tasti, per poter funzionare ha bisogno di un software installato che gli dica a ogni tasto che tipo di suono corrisponde... concetti chiari a tutti gli appassionati di tastiere e pc, un pò meno per chi non ha mai avuto per le mani oggetti del genere.

Mi dispiace ma purtroppo questo prodotto è da considerare obsoleto in quanto non vengono effettuati aggiornamenti al Firmware E all’editor dal 2015. Dunque potete immaginare che sui prodotti nuovi non funziona come ad esempio gli ultimi sistemi operativi E anche iPhone di ultima generazione. Io l’ho attaccato ed è andato la prima volta e basta. Mi era stato consigliato in quanto prodotto veloce e intuitivo: sicuramente 10 anni fa.
