We upgraded to 2Gig service for our home offices. The router is in my wife's office and uses and ethernet connection for full capability. I put this in my office next door and use the ethernet port to hardwire my systems. I consistently get 1.5 Gig download and upload speeds through the range extender which I think is very good for a wifi based signal. I'm please with the performance and the value. Setup was plug and play and the added speed is cool.

Installed in a small house. Laptop was getting about 100 mbps on a 1 gig fiber wifi system. Older tower system was getting only about 15 to 20 mbps on that same 1 gig wifi system. Installed this extender hoping for better, and to avoid having to run a new cable from modem to the room where computers set up. Easy to set up using the tether application... WPS didn't want to cooperate, but IMO the tether app is a better way to set up. Once set up, easy to connect computers. The laptop is now between 600 mbps to 700 mbps on that fiber connection. The tower system is older and is limited by the wifi radio installed, and that went to about 50 mbps. Too slow..... BUT I was able to use the ethernet port on the extender to the tower, and that has me at over 650 mbps to 700 mbps, and avoids the limits of the wifi radio. It is a good work around at this time until I upgrade the tower wifi. For the purchase price, ease of set up and good results, am very happy with the purchase and happy to give 5 stars.

Wow! Eliminated all the dead zones in my house on 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. I used the Tether App for super simple setup. Worth every penny!!!

The product works excellently, extending the range both inside and outside in the backyard. It plugs in and eventually connects to your prime access point (on the router). The iPhone app is OK but it was a little tricky to get going. For example, they don't tell you to first select the TP Link device from the WiFi networks listed on your phone. Still, it did its thing on its own and is working very well.
