## Description

This 3 Port HDMI switch box allows user to switch easily among 3 HD sources to one HD display. Also it can extract the digital audio embedded in HDMI and output it via optical SPDIF and RCA L/R stereo audio out. The unit even supports ARC function that can upstream audio from TV by single HDMI cable connection and output through Toslink out (TV connected to HDMI output of the unit must support ARC and HDMI v1.4 cable is required). Three EDID settings: 2.0CH: 2CH PCM stereo audio can be converted to 2CH analog stereo and output through RCA L/R and SPDIF at the same time. 5.1CH: Set EDID to "5.1CH" for Dolby Digital / DTS to output audio via SPDIF out; The RCA L/R output will not have sound if incoming audio is multi-channel audio (>2CH). SPDIF does NOT support 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus (For Roku, do not set to 5.1 Dolby Digital Plus as it cannot be extracted via SPDIF). PASS: The HDMI output has identical video and audio signals as the HDMI input. HDMI supports all audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus, 5.1CH/7.1CH PCM and HD Audio (including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio). For these audio formats, set EDID to "Advanced", and connect output to AV receiver directly. **Q: Projector setup: blu ray player w/ coaxial for audio to 7.1 receiver. Trying to setup chromecast - will this allow audio for chromecast on my setup?**
A: Ok this is what I have.  Switch's OUTPUT HDMI to my projector. The Switch's optical TOS OUT to my receiver. THEN all HDMI inputs, their audio will find their way to your receiver be it blue ray, Chrome cast, or Roku.. have tested successfully.

**Q: Can this unit be left on at all times? Will it hurt?**
A: I've left it on for the past year that I've owned it. This product is amazing!

**Q: Does this work with roku? does it play netflix and youtube tv?**
A: It's just an HDMI switch. You can plug multiple HDMI devices into it & then plug it into your TV or receiver. If you plug a Roku dongle into it, it will play Netflix & Youtube (Roku dongle sold separately). You could also plug your PS4 into it & it will play PS4 (PS4 sold separately). =D

**Q: I am trying to use this for an audio extractor so i can get the best audio for my soundbase.  sadly, my tv does not have arc. will this still work? ty**
