It works perfectly for my SD cards as well as my CF card. I like that the cable is long enough that I can run it to the back of my desk and down the back to plug into my Pc. Also it's plug and play, no fuss. It would be ideal if it had some sort of rubber feet for keeping it steady while plugging in a card but other than that, great

Having read all the reviews I was apprehensive but my fears were allayed as it just worked brilliantly out of the box I had had a similar one with a lightning connector for my iPad Air2 which I still use 3 years on when my son bought me the latest iPad Air 4th gen I was disappointed that apple had dropped the lightning connector and adopted the usb C and was ideally looking for an adapter with no success as I need this for my job buying this was my only option and I can say with confidence it works brilliantly I just hope it lasts as long as the other one…only time will tell

Better than my old cheap card reader. Can’t really comment on speed as my MacBook is quite old.

Nicely put together, has a good solid feel to it. I got it as I have an older camera and no laptop. This purely bypasses the need for a computer as I can transfer images from memory card to phone. Effortless to use and looks like a product way beyond its price point.

The item was bought to view photographs from a camera compact flash card. The unit downloaded the photographs very quickly and is very easy to use. The item is small and compact. For the cost and how versatile the unit is, it very good value.

Arrived on time, well packaged. Seems robust, card slots good fit. My desktop is 'floor mounted', and the cable length is ideal to reach USB outlet. Liked the integral cable, rather than connector (point of failure on my last device). Time will tell if durable, but nothing to complain about so far.

After quite a bit of testing this unit seemed to work within reasonable expectation with some CF cards but not others. Tried a variety of cards of different makes and speeds but found it was extremely slow with a high speed (1066x) Lexar card and would only read at half the speed achieved with other readers. In fairness to the vendor, their support was very keen to help diagnose the issue and were happy to refund the item when the issue couldn't be resolved and i've just put the issue down to bad luck and a fringe case incompatibility with that particular card.

Plug & Play, so easy to use. There is a good length of cable and seems a good solid construction. I have only used it for a short time, but have had no problems so far. I will know more after further usage and will report back later.

Great card reader. Even though my computer has older USB 2.0 ports this USB 3.0 reader transfers data faster than my older USB 2.0 memory card reader which may have been due to the design of the older reader, but still a pleasing difference. The color of the power on / transfer light is a very pale blue and I prefer blue lit indicator lights for devices. The reader's USB cord is of the highest quality.The USB cord is permanently attached to the back center of the unit. I have never liked card readers with their USB cords attached to either the left or right side because it makes the unit twist and turn on my desktop.With my Windows 7 operating system the reader is shown under "computer" as three separate removable disks. I leave the Unitek card reader plugged in all the time. The three removable disks never fail to boot. The unit operates at a cool temperature. This is a very nice Memory Card Reader.

My card reader got damaged, so i ordered this one. I was skeptical as i got 6$ off with a coupon, so i thought it was going to be cheaply made- i was wrong! It is great sturdy material. Works great with my complact flash card. Worked right away on my Mac without installing any other software. I am so happy with this purchase!!!! If you need a good card reader, this is it!!!
