It's got a smooth texture which is not quite what I expected it to be.. but it still provides a fair bit of grip.The included thumb stick covers are also pretty great. The tall ones are really tall which might be good for some people with long thumbs or something but I find them to be a bit much. I'm using the shortest ones that bow out and have little knobs for texture. They keep my thumbs on with no issues even when I'm playing super fast shooters and whatnot.
