CP2102 Review: Reliable and Easy-to-Use USB to TTL Converter! - The IZOKEE CP2102 Module works exactly as expected. Setup was quick and straightforward—drivers installed without any issues, and the module was immediately recognized by my computer. It supports both 3.3V and 5V, which makes it versatile for different projects. The included jumper wires are a nice bonus and make prototyping much easier. I’ve tested it with multiple microcontrollers, and the data transfer has been stable and reliable every time. Build quality feels solid for the price, and the compact size is perfect for my toolkit. Overall, this is a dependable USB to TTL adapter that’s affordable, easy to use, and great for hobbyists and developers alike. Highly recommended! Review: Managing an old NAS - The product is excellent; I only needed one, even though two were included, so I'll have a spare. I needed it to control an old NAS I had at home, and it worked perfectly. I just needed to install the Windows drivers and use PuTTY to access the serial port console. So far, it's worked wonderfully, and I recommend it if you can only access the device's interface via the serial port.

Interfaces directly to a microcontroller
This guy works great. This converter interfaces directly to the TTL Rx and Tx serial pins of common microcontrollers. The logic level of these microcontroller pins is inverted RS232 and the device operates like a MAX232 except the output is USB and not RS232. Connection to a computer requires a MALE/FEMALE USB cable and not the standard dual male type. I view the output with the TERA TERM emulator. The applicable com port can be discovered in the device management menu (WIN X) under COM PORTS.

Hit or miss QC it seems....
Hit or miss QC it seems.... Received 2X boards, one worked perfectly right out of the bag, the other had a very loose USB connector and was continuously connecting/disconnecting from the PC when plugged in. Upon further investigation it seems the metal USB connector was not soldered to the circuit board, not even a poor solder job... but zero solder. It was only hanging on the pc board by the two metal tabs on the side of the connector. Anyway, a quick two min fix with the soldering iron and the connector was now making contact with the four pads on the board and it worked perfectly when plugged in to the computer. All-in-all a decent deal if you're willing to possibly put in a little effort to overcome factory QC over-sites.

Fast shipping and works great
Worked great to flash a Luckyminer LV06 to Axeos. Good price and had it next day!

They just work
There's not much to say, they work out of the box with Ubuntu, showing up as /dev/ttyUSB0 which Arduino IDE expects and communicates with. ;P I bought some cheap micro-controllers a couple of weeks ago that implied that they could be programed through their usb connection. Now that I have this USB to TTL connector, I can actually use those microcontrollers.

Useful, BUT VID/PID is locked and can't be changed with SI Xpress Configurator
Works as expected, however the CP2102 is locked and therefore unable to change the VID/PID if required

No issues
Never had any UART debugging tools before, got this and it went a lot smoother than I expected. They come in a heat shrink tube cover, which is useful for preventing the circuit from shorting out on metal tables. I did end up needing to trim the heat shrinking a little bit in order to get the wires attached, but upon my second attempt of putting the wires onto the pins, it is possible to get all the wires attached without needing to trim the heat shrink. Personally find the two for one bundle a great value as compared to other listings which charge 2x the price of this for only one. I've left one of them plugged in 24/7 for several months now to debug a fussy modem, and it is still running letting me log the output without any issues.

This bi-directional converter 5V/3.3V does what it is supposed to do fine, it connects via single header connector wires to the device you want to connect to; this cable harness comes with the converter. Since it has a male header connector, it is a little bit difficult to connect the single header wires to it and maybe in the future, due to continued use, there may be some damage to the male header connector on this converter. If you don't plan to be taking it on and off, I think this device is perfect for the application; I recommend it. The text written on the circuit board is clear, so that you know what each pin of the male header connector is identified.

Only used 1 of the 2 so far to connect to a Cisco spa122 and unlock it. Everything worked as expected without any issues. Did not do any further testing so can't comment on the 3.3volt or 5volt connections. I was able to accomplish what I wanted so I am happy with the purchase.
