Gates 42144 Premium Engine Water Pump

When swapping the engine on my 2015 Jeep Compass there were several things I thought should be replaced so I wouldn't be replacing later when they weren't easily accessible. I like to get name brands when I can and Gates is a well know brand. Gates is one of the few, if not only that doesn't use a plastic impeller, they use a metal impeller and the best part was the pump and housing were cheaper than just the pump from everyone else. Easy decision, great price and a better product from a know good name in the auto industry. Working great and expect it to have a long, long life.

For my 2010 hyundai sonata 2.4l. Nice and good fit. No more leaking coolant and removed engine checkup light on.

Have defective water pump, already purchased a new one. Do not know how to return as defective. Shaft is bent

For the price, this is a fantastic value. It's a Gates, who is a good manufacturer of replacement parts. It comes with the housing attached, so instead of changing the hard to reach bolts that face out toward the fender wall, there are 5 on the underside of the car. The only difference from stock is that stock has a metal pulley. This one is plastic, though seems to be high quality and will likely outlive the rest of the car.

Pump work good. You don't need the housing unless yours is broken

Someone else said they used this without the housing on a 2010 Jeep Patriot, I have a 2009 , 2.4 and tried this and it almost fit, but not quite , the two larger holes in the pump were not right, I had to buy 3 different pumps before I found the one that fit.

Had coolant spraying from my car. Bought this and it came quick and the part fit exactly!

Los pernos son un poco mas largos por lo cual dificulta mucho su instalacion, tuve que usar el cuerpo anterior con la nueva bomba, aun asi la compatibilidad fue al 100%, veamos como trabaja con al tiempo y su duracion.
